yeah, contrary to popular belief, N.O. is ready for a gathering. Downtown and the french quarter look as if nothing ever happened. lower ninth ward and new orleans east are still pretty bad, but just think of all the servant events.

I wish I could go to the 2010 gathering. I was in both the 2004 and 2007 gatherings, and I'll be a few days shy of the age for adult volunteer. :[

Be a YAV! I had so much fun being a YAV this year, and they could always need more volunteers! I'll probably be a YAV in 2010 and I'm excited for that.

When it gets closer to the Gathering, there should be something on the website. I filled out an application on the website around September, got an acceptance letter in February, and I got assigned to a group June/July. You have to pay some money to go, but my church helped out a lot by paying for my transportation. It's so worth it though!

kewl cause' Orlando was way toooo hot, i live in Minnesota, in the summer it can get in the 90's but not with the humidity of Florida!!!

I was at CHOSEN!!! It was simply amazing! One of the most moving and inspirational events of my life! And this man, whatever his name may be, has been given a gift from God. I screamed so loud when he finished that I couldn't talk for an hour ;)! I wasn't too far from where you made this video. Thanks so much. And thank you God, for choosing me.

The song is called "You Are My Hope." Thanks for sharing this. I was playing guitar in the house band while he was doing it and couldn't really watch it. Praise God, it came out beautiful!
