Caan is unfortunately working on a scheme where young Brit pple of PKstani ancestry can spend a gap year in PKstan so they can recognise their roots - he thinks that it may help fight extremism. He is making a mistake. Firstly, the PKstan is currently having security problems (look at the recent attacks) and secondly, these British-PK people may become a naive target for extremist brainwashing and the next thing we know we'll be getting more British Muslim terrorists living in the UK.Bad idea

Compliments to China and Ambassador Guijin for working towards a solution in Darfur. I hope that China recognizes the power it has to change the abuses of the Sudan Government and force a solution in Darfur. Also I hope China recognizes that solving the problems in Darfur *before the Olympics* will create an unprecedented flood of good will to our friends in China.
