You're an idiot. I've played since '03 and i must admit, the best time in runescape's history was the removal of free trade and wilderness which severely hampered bots effectiveness. Look at it in those days, whips were 2-3m on ge, gmauls were 100k, ranarrs had a steady price of about 14k/ea, ranarr seeds were steady at 60k/ea.

Now? Whips are 500k, gmauls are 25k, ranarrs are 2k, seeds are 800gp.

Bots ruin the economy, we DONT need them.

You do know that you're saying this 2 months after bot nuke day which made bots inactive? If it was bots that did this much damage to the runescape economy, then it would have recovered by now but it hasn't. Whips are still 400k, g mauls are still 30k and ranarrs have only risen by 3k. What's worse is that the resources players use commonly that were botted into the game are soaring in price: sharks were 500gp, now they're 2k a piece.

@JoeM014 they're "soaring" back to where they used to be. Also, of course there's no visable damage yet! The number of gmauls, whips, and ranarrs/seeds are at the number they are from after the botting. Less existed before botting because there were less bots to get the drops. Simple supply and demand.

If there are more players killing abyssal demons, there will be more abby whips. Since there were a lot of bots fighting them, there are now a lot of abby whips..and are less rare.

Sorry for the mean message, I think at the time I was the only one who knew about old rs.. But I do remember the prices well. The old classic whip design was when whips were around 500-750k. When they got the graphical update, that's when they shot up to around 3m. And since free trade is back, they went back to the original price they were. No offense, of course.
