I agree that the Charger was not going to smoke an E55. I was commenting because someone below stated the Charger does 0-60 in over 8 seconds. I merely wanted to point out that the cops in my city use Chargers with hemi tuned for 0-60 in 5 seconds. Believe me, I'm no fan of Chrysler and the junk they build. But, make no mistake..in my neck of the woods, the Hemi Charger will run down 95% of what they're chasing.

@llarose Sorry but the E55 is a lot faster because it's got more horsepower and torque than the Charger and less weight too. The E55s got a supercharged 5.4 V8 making 469HP, and the Charger SRT8 has a 6.1 HEMI V8 making only 425HP, plus the Mercedes E55 weighs less than the Charger SRT. And plus the Charger in the video wasn't the SRT8 version, it was only a 5.7 HEMI making only 340HP. Police forces don't use SRT8 models. Sorry but Mercedes would smoke the Charger any day.

@zenenmoro A simple but sometimes costly speeding ticket, depends on the MPH over, you could have your license suspended by the BMV (Department of Bureau Motor Vehicles) for anywhere up to 3 months, to over 3 years if you have more than 1 offense. If they catch you on video street racing then they can legally seize your car and then you have to possibly do a over-nighter and pay some huge fines.
