Continued from previous comment: I believe we can thank the Union for a lot of those laws. Now companies shut down because of a Union, and only the upper echelon of the Unions benefit longterm by the dues that they collect from their brainwashed sheep. I write all of this with no malice, but with a hope that people will take a step back and realize what is really going on. I had to a few years ago when a plant closed where I worked and it was prmarily because of a Union.
Very interesting how the Union takes none of the blame for the plant closing. I thought it was all about making the product at lower costs in Mexico which the Union can't argue. Anyone who has been in a Union knows about Union pride! However, if you ever leave a Union and it's influences, you begin to realize it is nothing more than brainwashing. There was indeed an important place for a Union years ago, but there are laws in place now that prohibit poor treatment of employees.
Whirlpool should be ashamed. They took close to $20 MILLION in stimulus funds, now they are closing this plant and moving production to Mexico. WTF??
Wait till they start getting 17% taken out of their checks to pay for Obamacare that doesn't go into effect for 3or4 yrs. By that time the plant will have moved to Mexico to keep from having to pay the 20%increase in taxes to pay for Obamabudget. And Obama will be in the Bahamas living the good life on all that pharm & insurance kickback & running from authorities that want him for criminal fraud. Irrepairable damage.
because these Americans are not already paying out the nose for health care, right now? and under the corporate plan, executive death panels decide what diseases will get covered and which ones get the plug pulled.
Then they need to elect better union representation, quit electing democrats, and get more aggressive about their collective bargaining. 40% of the cost of health ins is due to lawyers.
@MrHelldogger I'm just curious whether people of your persuasion find it OK that we spend 80 billion per month to pay for wars that devastate our economy and country (not to mention the job it does on our soldiers) so that contractors can get rich, but ought to sacrifice education and health care. Just wondering.
And just what is my "persuasion". I guess yours' is surrender the greatest nation on earth to a bunch of barefoot barbarians?
If the war against Muslim barbarians had been waged my way it would've taken 8mo. & been paid for by war bonds. But we elected a liberal president & he did it the way LBJ & Truman waged war. So here we are. Persuaded yet?
@MrHelldogger I hope you will considering joining the fine institution we call the military. They're in short supply (oddly enough!) You might be used like toilet paper in order to enrich some contractors, but so what! you can say you were part of operation bankrupt America.
I thought Operation Bankrupt America was being run by Obama, Pelosi & Reid. I've tried getting into the military 3 times. They didn't want me when I told them my soul purpose was to kill commies & other enemies of America.
@MrHelldogger ok so the other tactic is "turn it all on Obama!" Listen buddy, Bush was counting on the crash to happen after he left office. He (as usual) was wrong. Cheney even admitted this in an interview with Rush as to why they bailed out Government Motors.
I'm not a "commie" nor am I an enemy. The Pentagon is worsening our security. That's their JOB, otherwise that bloated building wouldn't be sucking us dry of money. Even when they do their jobs, Bush/Cheney dumped them under the bus
I will never buy anything that says whirlpool on it.
