This is the worst marching I have ever seen. Their horn angles are below parallel, they don't march, the color guard has no feeling and doesn't look like they're trying, many people are out of tune, the music is an insult to Sweet Low, Sweet Chariot, the drum major has to count them of so they can start on the right beat, some of the band hasn't memorized their music, their instruments look like crap, their sound is horrible, and their lines aren't straight. I hope the chariot takes them home.

This band sucks, point blank. No, it's not ALL their fault. Its classed 1A, which I believe is less than 200 in a high school. The principle is probably the football coach, math teacher AND band director. Mississippi doesn't have any well funded schools outside of Jackson and the Gulf Coast. But you missed how they had to be stepped off, started the wrong song, and the director had to come correct them. Don't hate too hard now.

@TheEpicReaction the band director at my school improved our band drastically in the last two years. we have less than 100 people and went to Memphis last year for the liberty bowl. We got most musical in the field show competition and 1st place in concert band and we are from Louisiana.
@TheEpicReaction I would like to see you go to a school that is not properly funded, where kids have no motivation and try to turn around a program that has this many members in it in two years. I have no relation to this school or the people in it, but I do know that a band that performs this many mistakes on the field will take way more than two years to make "awesome".
And why does this director have a job? And why do the directors of the feeder program/s (if there are any) still have a job? Also, what kind of hat/thing is the drum major wearing?

@eivilcow33 even if they got the music the day before there is no excuse for having that bad of a tone or not even coming close to the notes that are on the page. and question what drill. our 8th grade band learmed part of our high school drill in less than 2 weeks this band has no excuse.
Band Kids who respect the art would see the opportunity in this band.
Personally, I cant wait to see this band get better in the next couple of years. That way they can look at this video and see how far theyve come. It's not the kids. It's the director. and implying that these kids are inferior for what is a not so great performance truly reflects your immaturity.

So I just looked up the scores from this competition and they scored a 73.1!!!!! How the heck did they do that. I wish judging in Florida was that easy...
um... ok. There are alot things wrong with this. I just can't say em all. OMG. ok. How much and how hard did they practice? What was the director freaking thinking? Did they have alot of problems learning the show and the music? They could have done some music that is both a crowd and a judge pleaser. The energy in this band seems completely drained, even in the color guard. It's just.... Oh forget it!
this band played and marched their hearts out.......you gotta give them props for having the nerves to go out there and perform....even if they didnt sound great or march great they tried their best.......

Okay granted they weren't ready for this competition and it was the director's fault for bringing them to something they weren't ready for... You can't be mean or cold hearted to them. It was heartwrenching to sit in the stands to watch them from beginning to end. Though the drum major's salute was legit lol.
I hope someone with a Music Education degree isn't running this program. If so, they should be hung and shot and fed to hungry sharks. I don't blame the kids at all they're doing what they are expected to do by their leadership. They're probably great kids. The talent just isn't their. I will pray for them. :-/

This band has pride and spirit. They came out with the best they had and did the best they could. So I am very Proud of this band. And if ur not Proud of them then u worst then a FAGOT.
