@crosswire40 Monster hunter is you basically become a hunter of the olden days with a few exceptions (dragons, etc). You make your own armor and weapons while killing monsters. Sounds simple? It's not. Requires patience and a lot of learning. These monsters aren't just your normal spam the attack button and live. Its learn their attack signs, dodge roll, and don't get hit while still being able to kill them before they kill you. If you're not into major grinding, don't bother playing.

Tried upgrading my armor but I love Yian Garuga armor too much. =p Sharpness + Sword sharpening skill inc + earplug/reckless abandon +1 if I wear garuga mask/helm

@AzureFlameKiteX You get Monster Fluid from bugs like Hornetaurs and Vespoids. Poison 'em and carve 'em. I think Union ore can only be found in High Rank Quests. Dragonite can be found in various Lo-Rank Quests. Try every mining spot in every area and check out which one has a better chance of giving you what you want. Least, that's what i do :p

Is this game any fun without multiplayer? I have the psp mhfu but never played the ps2 but, did play mhf which i heard was close to it. My friend had this game for a while and said it was kinda bland without multiplayer. If the severs were still up i'd fucking play this shit religously.

Monster hunter G is the same as monster hunter freedom, g has the opposite color monsters, monster hunter freedom 2 is about the same as monster hunter 2 besides the lack of yamatsukami

Not entirely true, Monster Hunter Freedom has Yian Garuga as well as White Velociprey.

MHF2 has Tigrex and Akantor when MH2 does not.
