This Husky generator is not a "camper" friendly generator unless it is installed/fixed on the camper. The Rigid was I think $900 and a likely better built machine with a Yamaha engine. If money isn't an issue, I'd skip both these generators and purchase a Honda. Buy the Honda and forget it. The Husky will remain in a corner of my garage given the difficulty with it's mobility. Given the handle is not fixed, I'd consider drilling a hole and installing a push/pull pin to move it.
There are indeed design flaws with this generator, one of which is thankfully it makes enough electricity for me. I recognized these flaws as I wheeled the generator out of the tool department. Yours was likely not fully assembled when you purchased. By my use of 'jerk' term is that several generators had been returned - different models - all of which had been marked down.

I bought this exact generator. In my case, the locking arm wouldn't lock. So it would collapse on your shins as you moved it! Also, check your tank. It's not a six gallon tank like it says it is, but only a 5 gallon tank. I returned it for the 6,800/8,500 watt Ridgid. More power, 30 amps (not 20) and quality build.
Finally, I didn't like the fact that the wheels are on the wide side. Poor design. One person can't wheel this through a doorway.
