  • Oh and it was released in 1987. It was a WLIR Screamer of the week. I have the complete list and it was originally released as a "B"side to "Where The Streets Have No Name". I have it.

  • Been looking for this version for years! Thanks for sharing. Love the original 1987 version. I have it on vinyl but no longer have a turn table. Thanks again, made my day!

  • this is amazing -

so cheap views ... this is music whit feelings!

  • The bass line on this is outrageously brilliant

  • ..Thank The Universe...Finally the Original version of the song..Without Bono Screwing it up.!!!!

  • A song made back when U2 was cool...

  • love the bass. go Adam go! :)

  • Makes me think about her. And the pretty tree in the garden.

We can finish this, so fast.

  • wow!!

  • This song is so painfully catchy -3

  • This abuses me, in a good way. =)))

  • This is the best version. I remember hearing this being played on Sydney Radio by a duo called 'Club Veg' on 2MMM in 1989, and they wondered why it wasn't released as a single. Pity when U2 did release it that they had to 'do it up' because i think it sounds fine like this. -Daz in Oz.

  • Love this song...amazing how it really caught on when The Best Of albums came out.

  • it was orginally recorded in 88 as a single or b side i think.

  • Thanks Lee.... cool U2 song.... terrific Dublin band... Bono is pure CULT!!

  • I LOVE this version. Hadn't heard it until today.

  • Wow, this version is really good. I like Bono`s pretty hysterical mood here.

And the proto drum`n Base part from 1:40 is really innovative!

Video is very ambient, Somebody`s moving reflection is seen on the vinyl.

  • An AMV should be made to this song... I'll have to tell my friends

  • Thanks *-*

    Original version the best

  • The original, vastly superior version. Thanks for posting. A lot of people who reflexively hated U2 in 1987 were won over by this B-side (which was widely played e.g., on JJJ in Sydney, at the time).

  • Yeah for the original version! Thanks!

  • Technically speaking, the sweetest thing isn't love, it's a perfectly ripened mango.

  • @tristramshandy3 And isnt that love? Lets be honest.

  • @sharkboy1800 no, that's lust my man ;) I'm not going to marry the mango, I'm going to ravish the damn thing and then kick it to the curb.

Have you read the essays of Montaigne?

It's only the greatest book ever published.

  • Me encanta esta version, Bono es el mejor, U2 los mas grandes

  • Thank you. This has always been the best version, much better than the overproduced crap version on the best of. Only thing is it seems like your record is playing it too fast...maybe i am just used to the slowed down crap version...

  • i do LOVE both, its just an amazing song

  • i like more this one, more heart, more pain, more soul..

  • U2 at there best.

  • Kinda raw ... more rock than the official pop version. Killer bassline and sweetest riff!

  • Bono's vocal is more convincing and heartfelt in this one

  • I love this version! The other version is good, but cannot compare to this one! Thanks for posting.

  • the original is the best version!

  • This is slightly better, I think.

  • better version!!!

  • Riff resembles 'China in your hands' by T'pau... .

  • This is the best version. The remix is annoying.

  • original version!!!

  • i was lookin for this!! the other versions annoy me!

  • THMKX ...♥.♥

  • THMKX...

  • the ORIGINAL version! finally, somebody posted it! tanx u

  • amazing song
