Same in China too: Kpop artists translate their songs into Mandarin for Taiwanese, Chinese, HK and Singaporean fans. The Philippines is the only Asian nation to follow Kpop BLINDLY..
However 'wannabe' these Ppop groups are, kudos to them, at least you can UNDERSTAND their lyrics. Have you even listened to Thai music? Puts OPM to shame!

The fact of the matter is MOST contemporary pop music around the world are derived from the USA. Different countries just twisted it a little to suit their taste. Hip Hop/Pop dance came from the USA, the verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus structure was popularized by the USA, the usage of melismatic vocal runs come from the USA (blues, Jazz, soul), those repetitive constant beats originates from techno, with techno originating from the USA. So its bs when ppl say ppon copied kpop, etc.

I dont knoww I dont think they're taking it seriously... I think they shouldve spent more years in training before debuting, because right now it just seems like randomly picking five pretty girls in the streets, dressing them up then asking them to sing and dance infront of the camera using a k pop song which has been distorted to sound different :/ Unlike other bands which has members who worked hard to get in and spent several years training

They degrade girls and just show off their body parts. And lady gaga's videos are just weird...but of course, their vocal abilities are good. that's why they're famous.

The fact of the matter is MOST contemporary pop music around the world are derived from the USA. Different countries just twisted it a little to suit their taste. Hip Hop/Pop dance came from the USA, the verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus structure was popularized by the USA, the usage of melismatic vocal runs come from the USA (blues, Jazz, soul), those repetitive constant beats originates from techno, with techno originating from the USA. So its bs when ppl say ppon copied kpop, etc.

Most teen Filipinos love things from other countries, and complain about the ones from our own country and say it's cheap. it's a no brainer, really. How could something be NOT cheap if the people who are SUPPOSED to support it, will instead bring it down? And how can this get a million views when only a few are supporting it? Think about it. If only a few know about something, and if majority of those people hate it, how will it spread?

I dont knoww I dont think they're taking it seriously... I think they shouldve spent more years in training before debuting, because right now it just seems like randomly picking five pretty girls in the streets, dressing them up then asking them to sing and dance infront of the camera using a k pop song which has been distorted to sound different :/ Unlike other bands which has members who worked hard to get in and spent several years training
