Graphics, feh! I hate X-Box, and miss when gameplay style was expected to sell games instead! And, you could have done better at avoiding your armies dying. You shold've dismissed your militias at first so archers are first on the roster. And don't you see, they can shoot like the orcs shown soon after? Don't just move archers, have them shoot someone, then pikemen hit and take retaliation, then militia hit same one last. Never let militia hit first, lose less blood, get it?
There is a quick way to defeat Magus, Urthrax and Arech:
- Visit the three Saharian castles so you can Castle Gate to them.
- Buy Ghosts, Raise Control and Time Stop spells.
- Use Raise control till you max out your leadership (65535 max).
- Time Stop till 2000 - 3000
Ghosts increase by 1 per enemy they kill. First go to Magus, and kill the Peasants with the Ghosts. You'll end up with 5000-6000 Ghosts, enough to kill more than 100 Dragons with one attack. ;)
I beat Arech Dragonbreath twice. Once was when I kept buying an army of exactly 1 demon and 20 peasants. The demon halves the biggest dragon army. It was the only way for my wizard (the wizard's instant army is archmages.)
The 2nd time I beat Dragonbreath I picked a non-wizard and I bought tons of instant army spells and raised like 600 Ogres. I town gated and bought raise control spells, then castle gated to Dragonbreath. I teleported the Ogres and got like 600K as a reward.
Basic idea of this game: cast clone army multiple times to have like 400 arcmages/demons/vampires, cast raise control multiple times so they won't turn agains you, cast time stop multiple times, and cast town portal multiple times to buy more of those spells. Beating this game is not too hard without using those spells, but beating all 3 villains in Saharia is hard as hell without that strategy.
@MrJerkkeri I never thought of that strategy, and I was able to beat all the villians in the game... except one. And this one villian in particular should be bluntly obvious.

@MrJerkkeri I completed it when younger but from what i can remember it was mostly a case of luck everything fell into place in the best way possible and my luck was just great on that day... id have bet on the lottery if i had been old enough

This game was awesome. You could play it for days, and there was lots of randomization. Some of the continents were insanely difficult.

Thanks for the intelligent review. This is a very addictive game. Only thing I hate is the password save system
