  • I think I am beginning to understand this system now, the basic principle is that you should utilize your amazing resource of a natural flinch, and the speed that comes with it, to make the first strike, and as you make your recovery from being startled, the attacker is making their recovery from your crucial first strike. Of course, some could argue this would leave you open to attack, in my humble opinion, I think it is lessening that chance. Making a hard, dangerous situation to be in, easier

  • Dude, hope you don't take this the wrong way before reading it all, but I developed the habit of striking when I would flinch soon after I first started boxing back in MIDDLE SCHOOL, when I learned that I could use the speed at which my hands came up when I flinched,(almost always) to beat my better trained and more fit 'friends', since I couldn't seem to pull up that kind of speed when thinking about it like they could, I just thought that it would help show how organic/primal a resource it is.
