  • This could've been the castle music in Mario.

  • Like fighting a gym full of missingos

  • I want this to be played at my funeral.

  • @ginger89kid i thought of that as well! its the perfect burial music...

  • THIS SHIT IS HYSTERICAL....THAT HIGH PITCHED SYNTH IS MAKIN' ME PISS MY PANTS.....I THOUGHT I WAS ON ON TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE FOR A SEC........DID I JUST BEAT METAL GEAR 1?....WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

  • @TETTSUUO lol yeah i read your comment before teh squeal started. hell ya that is funny shit lmao

  • I wish I could make a mp3 player that converted tracks into 8bit so I could listen to this over and over again

  • someone should make a video game with these 8-bit radiohead songs as the soundtrack

Everything in its Right Place would be the opening screen music :D

  • this gives off a metroid 1 vibe.

  • This is Radiohead's final boss theme.

  • Its the long lost Pyramid Gym on Pokemon Gold : P

  • This would fit PERFECTLY in Double Dragon 3!

  • The sound a game would make when you died. :D

  • @kyletheenigma Try to put it in Legend of Zelda, it would be AMAZING :D

  • Is there anything that DOESN'T sound good in 8-bit? This is so awesome.

  • fuck yes

  • Excellent!!! Really good. Might be the best 8-bit translated song I've heard.

  • amNESiac

  • METROID :D

  • Sounds like snake charming song.

  • @arenasefi Bro. It's in 4/4 with 8 measure phrasing. Trust me, my mind was blown when I found out.

  • @Anjiruu This is oft debated. It can be counted in 4/4, but the consistent and repeating rhythmic pattern is not well represented as the wrong downbeats are implied. Splitting it into 5/4 3/4 bars for instance would imply the correct downbeats. Neither approach is incorrect, nor are they the only options. As a composer I lean towards notating things in a way which conveys the rhythm and intended downbeats as explicitly as possible, so I would use alternating 5/4 3/4 bars if transcribing.

  • @thetwentyfourth True, but changing the count tends to make me lose track of where I'm at, mainly because I can't figure out the pattern of 5/4 and 3/4, so it's easier for me to keep the count at a constant 4.

  • Man, this shit is scary in 8bit they should use it in Splatterhouse or something.

    *shivers*

  • Imagine if Gannondorf's movement pattern was to this song.

You could never figure him out!

  • epic, playing zelda to this

  • @ace88480 thats exactly what i thought of when i heard it

  • @ace88480 I posted about it without reading your post... incredible, it fits perfectly to Zelda :)

  • this makes me feel like a kid again.

  • 8 bit rules!!

they should make games with such music again

contemporary games are nice, but the games from the 80s-90s are the best :)

(and cartoons as well. thundercats HOOOOOO)

  • This needs to be on castlevania. I would have been shitting my self for the whole game if it had.

  • like playing with my sega master system....amazing tune though!

  • I love that theramin sounding noise. :D

  • sounds like what the dark world pyramid in A Link to the Past should sound like. =D

  • i agree out there. Music for a funeral

  • Perfect!

  • sounds like im fighting the Elite four in pokemon

  • rocks

  • This song would fit in a graveyard level. Or maybe an outer space level.

  • An incredibly hard song to cover, what with all the syncopated timing, but you did this 8-bit perfectly.

  • Sweet.

  • No matter the delivery, Radiohead's songs are timeless. Great job!!

  • Z.E.L.D.A.

  • either you have no sense of humour or you are trolling in which case you have a half decent sense of humour. Hmm. I wonder which!

  • @TehWinnerz

    trolling??

  • Could be used in Pokemon Red final battle.

  • shroom music

  • metroid?

  • would be a good Metroid soundtrack... my first thought was Final Fantasy I (8-bit Nintendo)

  • I like the 8 bit world.

  • Siiiick!!!!

  • this tune gives me shivers, even in 8 bit

  • What are you using exactly? I'd love to know

  • damn beautiful, even in 8 bit.

  • woah... you know what i just realized. If these songs are good in 8-bit then what about old 8-bit music remade with actual instruments? Then again im sure people have done that

  • you should check out smas brothers brawl soundtrack. its has a lot of remade clasic nintendo tracks. very cool

  • I take back any comment I put on here before about this being good, and replace it with "ALL OF YOUR 8-BIT COVERS ARE FUCKING AMAZING"... I love this idea so much. And, I would die to play mario or zelda with this.

  • woaw!! nice idea, and execution

    great tune

  • dang. i came across this by chance. great shite.

  • Great stuf, nice idea !

  • Ohlàààaaa j'adoore !

y'a même l'imitation du timbre G des Ondes Martenot !

  • Did you use the Peach VST?

  • I can't say for sure, but it sounds like he might be using an actual NES sequencer rather than a VST plugin.

  • Exactly that sound like a old music from Final Fantasy ( sound of a castle or of a dream, something like that ).

    Really nice.

But using the voice of Thom Yorke in 8 bit could be nice, but I know it's difficult to got it ...

  • lol it does sound like final fantasy! yea it sounds like a castle level. the room before the level gets harder and the music changes to a more aggressive sound.

  • This version could so have been in my 8-bit Nintendo Final Fantasy I game... awesome!!!

  • hahaha so good!!

  • Really great stuff. You should try doing bodysnatchers :P would be pretty interesting

  • Awsome!
