Fuselage and tail is complete including paint, just need to paint the wings and its ready to haul to Meadow Lake airport in Colorado Springs and find a hanger-mate.
Thank you, I am using the stock exhaust logs with JC Whitney 1 1/2" prebent exhaust pipe ($18) cut and welded together to get the correct bends to exit out the bottom. It is real loud but sounds great.
Congratulations! I remember my first start and it is amazing isn't it? It sounds fantastic. Now I have a question for you - did you really think that ball cap was going to stay on your head when you started the thing? hahaha. Let's go flying now!
Probably this Spring, have to paint the wings and do the paperwork (and get current again in a Citabria or something like that).

Nice Rick! Jeff sent me the link. Did you find your hat? It looks like it blew back into those scrub oak trees.

Howdy Travis
Yes found the hat and learned to wear it backwards (or not at all) on all future restarts.

Very nice. And what kind of exhaust system is on it and how is it routed? I'd love for my own vairplane to sound that smooth and quiet when I'm done.

Thank you,
Yes I quickly learned to turn my hat around backwards before starting. Hell of a breeze at 2900 rpm.
