I bought a classic army m15a4 pmc about a month ago it shoot 390-400 it is full metal except for the stock. i have not upgraded any parts yet but plan on it. it costs $400 it is worth it all i have a red dot a grip and a bipod i also bought an extra mag. in all it cots around $600 dollars with bbs i use .25

I do. I now have the madbull v.2 chrono and its spot on. The gun still shoots average of 390fps w/ .20g and 360 w/ .25g

It might shoot over when you first get it but it should wear down to around 390. Mine came shooting at 395 when i first got it.

CA 2005 M15A4 Carbine, CYMA AKM, Cybergun MP5, Well L96, ICS M4, and a couple others i cant remember right now. Its better than all of them.

I ve been wondering to get this gun or the vfc e series m4, can u tell me which is better? and I ve heard that the bolt is held on by a thin piece of plastic, and it will eventually break, is this true? and how good is the internals? Ive heard that is crappy and same as 08 models except the spring, and that the piston will break on a 9.6 volt battery

well you've heard wrong. The internals are amazing and every single part is upgraded. Even the cylinder is a teflon coated version. I didnt even have to adjust the shimming. Im running at almsot 20 rps and there are no faults that i can find as of yet. A friend with a different 09 version did break his bolt catch however mine is working fine with no signs of wear.

I havent used/seen the VFC so i cant say that its better. I do love it though. This is the best airsoft rifle ive ever had (ive had A LOT of guns) I do use the bolt catch a lot and its great.

Ive been into the gearbox numerous times. Trust me, besides cleaning, adding your own lube and possibly some shimming it DOES NOT need any upgrades. Everything comes pre upgraded. I mean EVERYTHING

Sorry about asking so many questions but here's one more.

I was zeroing in my gun and when I went into full auto for a bit, it made a terrible almost revving noise that came from inside. I checked on the motor and it was fine I thing one of my gears are stripped. How do you get into the gearbox?

a gear shouldnt be stripped so soon. Check you motor height. It may have gotten too loose. The large slot on the bottom of the grip is where to tighten it. Turn it a bit then shoot, and repeat till it sounds good.

push the button in as far as you can (i usually use a screwdriver) and then grab and twist off the catch from the button. You have to take off the bolt catch first by punching out a small pin

I just purchased the gun myself. Never played before. Went into airsoft extreme and told them I like the m4 look and thats the gun he pointed to. At the store he measured the fps at around 440. Told me i would have to lower it for competition. Oh well just love the look of the gun. Good to know its actualy a decent functiuoning gun too.

ya the back sight comes off but it doesnt get in the way with my scope/red dot when its folded down. It makes a great back up. Ya get the tightbore barrel. either M4 length or more if you get a barrel extension

420fps with .25s is WAY wrong. Madbull cronos are really too inaccurate to trust. Mine cronos at 395-405fps with .20 and 370-380 with .25s. This is using a $300 crono at Airsoft Extreme. Other wise great review, the 2009 CA M15 series is bad ass

I've been wanting to build a custom M4 with a look almost identical to that (the MGS4 look, lol) and I've been considering just buying this instead. I've found a few places offering this gun in that price range, but they all say that the magazine, battery, and charger cost extra. Was that the case with yours?

i already had a smart charger and i did buy the battery extra. Trust me its worth it to get a good battery seperate than the crap one they usually include.

EXTEMELY EASY just punch out the first pin (it wont go out all the way cause its captive) and pull the charging handle back a tad bit and slide the two halves apart. Not swing and pivot like a TM cause CA's dont use tabs to hold the recievers together

no its pretty light. The crane stock is REALLY nice. It works as a weight in the back and as a cheek rest. So all the weight is put against your shoulder, and its not that heavy in the first place

You mentioned that you're not sure about the accuracy. The new 2009 CA PMC comes standard with an equivalent m120 spring. You were correct in thinking that you need a harder bucking. If you continue to run that guarder soft bucking, you may run the risk of tearing it (which you may have done if you haven't looked at it recently).

How do you remove the whole crane stock?

pull down on the back of the adjustment lever and it will slide all the way off. You can also pop the back cover off the stock. Thats the only way i charge the battery is by popping it off and connecting while its still in the stock. Its too had to put back in

How easy is the take down now with the functioning bolt catch? I have one on the way and I'm not a fan of the stock CA Hop-ups so I'm swapping it out with the TB and hop-up in my other M4. Just curiuos to see if its a pain to get apart and back together with this new design. Thanks and good review by the way.

very easy. It pulls apart like a normal CA M4, actually its easier. There are no wires to worry about and the charging handle doesnt get hung up on the bump on the gearbox

it uses a crane type battery. But it will not work with a crane stock battery designed for a G&P (there are some on airsoftgi like that) make sure it says it is made for classic army. It will have three large cells for each side and two cells in the middle. Its a small type connector
