@cerulee You are kidding, right? The Looking for Raid feature makes all the raids require almost no tacts at all, gives them the feel of a normal dungeon with slightly better gear. They have ruined a great game over time, someone may not feel it, but it is a shadow of it's former self as it is now. Cataclysm was the finishing blow to finish it off.

I face C'Thun on a Fun server... Druid Heal... He casted "Dark Look" after 3 minutes, I was healing myself, and then I took this => 32k (15k Absorbed) (damage excess 25k)...
Me : What ! I wasn't in the Ray ! *I look at the damage* oO' 72k Even my powered servercrafted armor !!
the part at 5:44 makes me think that I am so close to the dark god himself that he is gradually draining away my will to live and killing me with it! (God that sounded nerdy!)
AQ40 still one of my all time favourite raids, wish Blizzard would bring out more instance just as epic as this one, with good music, atmosphere and story. Besides Ulduar, the last couple of raids have been a downer.
I'm pretty sure that the whole reason why C'thun was so terrifying was that you were in his domain - there were no Titanic forces to save you, you were buried beneath the sands of Southernmost Kalimdor, with only your strength to rely on against an entire ancient empire which even the dragons could not defeat at the apex of its power.
I remember the countdown to Ahn Qiraj, the server lag like hell and crashed, Hordes and Alliance killing each other at the gates. I missed the 40 man raid

People never complained about hard high tier instances, what vanilla lacked was 5 man dungeons and PvP content. But instead of just fixing that, blizzard made the entire game baby's milk bottle - easy feeding.
@BlueCrystalGem Hope you cleared pre-nerf Sunwell, then. And all the hardmodes in WotLK and Cata pre-nerf. All the difficulty is still there. It's just not a massive barrier to newbies entering the content. It's in hard modes for experienced players to go after on their own.
@Kimflodin well vanilla did have alot of bugs but it was ALOT of fun. I would say
TBC>Vanilla>WOTLK>CATA. In every aspect CATA seemed better but I never quit during WOTLK days but I have during cata, it's missing something vital but don't know what =/

4:35 + is so amazingly haunting. It creeps the everliving shit out of me, in a very subtle way. This raid was very atmospheric that way. It made me feel uncomfortable, creeped out, occasionally claustrophobic and paranoid (ESPECIALLY the crazy noises at 5:45). I loved every minute of it, and I'm always looking for reasons to return here. I wish I had raided it when it was new content.
@deusirae76 Wrath was amazing, I'll give you that. Well... Scenery-wise anyways. The raids and instances sucked, and you were being showered with purples with every step you take. The only really tough part in Wrath was the frogger hallway in Naxx. :/
@epicSockett No way, Ulduar and Icecrown Citadel had incredible settings and musics to begin with. Tournament of the Crusader was only a lootfest on the other side and Naxx was only a rehash (though I had great pleasure to go within again).

@epicSockett I banned the word "faceroll" from my vocabulery since it only reflects the feeling of the average players who didn't understand how this game went just insane sometimes in the hard modes. Blizzard had a big deal satisfying everyone, and they succeeded.
I feel so sorry for all the guys who didn't face C'Thun in Classic WoW, the raid was outstanding, the music is still my favorite and the atmosphere was just too epic.
Remember looking around the corner into the final battle room with the eye which was killing the ENTIRE raid in one second unless you don't know how to face the boss?

I dreamed of a 4th continent in the game where you can start off as a qiraji or a demon. They could also have unique classes like Gladiator, Hivelord or Mindslayer.
When you're actually raiding AQ, its not a continuous piece. The parts where the song dies down and picks back up again are snippets that you would hear when raiding.
When you've had the privilege of raiding AQ in its prime, the score becomes a supreme fear-inspiring melody. The kind of ambiance the Blizzard would be wise not to forget.
@kimflodin , I disagree, AQ is a classic raid, I think it should stay the way it is, with the twin emperors, and plenty of other bosses still wiping level 80-85 groups, its been around for years, and Blizzard did a good job on it, it doesn't need to be changed for Cataclysm.

@kimflodin I agree with you there, but AQ is one of the few large, and still untouched, things remaining from Vanilla WoW, if Blizzard changed it, I don't think it would really be the same, a totally awesome raid would, there just wouldn't be the feel of AQ there anymore.Now, if they were to make it an option to choose between AQ20/40 or revived AQ10/25, that would be a lot better. Thats what they should have done with Naxxramas, in my opinion.
@DominusFas well, blizz HAS actually changed AQ20 and AQ40 you may notice that they've added map to them so that you won't get lost and they've added 3 quest NPCs outside AQ, BUT you wanna know a fun fact, i and some random levelers and 2 other lvl 85 did AQ40 yesterday, i told them "if u never been in AQ40 before,u're fucked" but the others said that was bullshit, then not more than 20 minutes later the grp disbanded cus they wiped on the huge tunnel before Fankriss, at least i did it right
@kimflodin ya for sure, if its level 60 raid you will get owned hahaha.. aq40 is the hardest instance ever made in my opinion.. people will say sunwell and naxx 40 but fuck that, more time was spent in aq40 then any instance, my guild Manic on Korgath was the 12th guild in the world to attempt cthun when he was impossible, we got him to 66% and death and taxes best attempt was around 20% where he was declared literally impossible to kill and they were forced to nerf.. i miss these days.

Blizzard will never go "back to their roots" or create a separate BC/Vanilla server. They clearly stated "An MMO is about expanding, going back to the old times would defeat the purpose, we'd rather have players experience our new content" (Something like that)

Wow vanilla was the shit. One of the best MMOs I've played.
Burning crusade was a nice extension, even if it derailed from the original.
Wotlk is overall good but has some stupid shitty stuff in it.
Cataclysm is just awful with a few good elements.

I dreamed of a 4th continent in the game where you can start off as a qiraji or a demon. They could also have unique classes like Gladiator, Hivelord or Mindslayer.

When you're actually raiding AQ, its not a continuous piece. The parts where the song dies down and picks back up again are snippets that you would hear when raiding.
When you've had the privilege of raiding AQ in its prime, the score becomes a supreme fear-inspiring melody. The kind of ambiance the Blizzard would be wise not to forget.

@kimflodin , I disagree, AQ is a classic raid, I think it should stay the way it is, with the twin emperors, and plenty of other bosses still wiping level 80-85 groups, its been around for years, and Blizzard did a good job on it, it doesn't need to be changed for Cataclysm.

@kimflodin I agree with you there, but AQ is one of the few large, and still untouched, things remaining from Vanilla WoW, if Blizzard changed it, I don't think it would really be the same, a totally awesome raid would, there just wouldn't be the feel of AQ there anymore.Now, if they were to make it an option to choose between AQ20/40 or revived AQ10/25, that would be a lot better. Thats what they should have done with Naxxramas, in my opinion.

@DominusFas well, blizz HAS actually changed AQ20 and AQ40 you may notice that they've added map to them so that you won't get lost and they've added 3 quest NPCs outside AQ, BUT you wanna know a fun fact, i and some random levelers and 2 other lvl 85 did AQ40 yesterday, i told them "if u never been in AQ40 before,u're fucked" but the others said that was bullshit, then not more than 20 minutes later the grp disbanded cus they wiped on the huge tunnel before Fankriss, at least i did it right

@kimflodin ya for sure, if its level 60 raid you will get owned hahaha.. aq40 is the hardest instance ever made in my opinion.. people will say sunwell and naxx 40 but fuck that, more time was spent in aq40 then any instance, my guild Manic on Korgath was the 12th guild in the world to attempt cthun when he was impossible, we got him to 66% and death and taxes best attempt was around 20% where he was declared literally impossible to kill and they were forced to nerf.. i miss these days.

@DominusFas Untouched? Look at the stats on the sets. No more spirit on them, and they even added hit rating. Anyway, I don't pay monthly fees to get the same stuff over and over again, remaking Naxx was fine but we don't need rehash anymore.

@kimflodin It is still one of the most popular games out there, but it has lost TONS of subscribtions. I think it was 12 million at their peak (WOTLK) and they have lost about 2 million players after cata came out. Correct me if I am wrong.

I heard that a couple of quest involving Ahn'Qiraj that the twilight cult try's to get some essence from C'thun to revive him in the twilight highlands
as deathwing serves the old gods including C'thin(If alive)
I hope its treu an level 85 40(most likely 25/10) man Ahn'Qiraj raid would be awesome
then again we would suceed stopping them and getting instead a nice raid,

nice video. have any of you fellas looked at the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it's amazing, i recently down loaded the pack. its got totally everything in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the new arena glitch. i perhaps shouldnt tell people about it but at least it gives you all a reasonable opportunity to download it before i own you all!

Cant wait for the new AQ 5 man in cataclysm, it'll bring back memories from like 5 years. Maybe blizz havent failed us completely. Im glad to see certain things from vanilla rise again, like CC, i missed that so very much. I do hope the expansion wont be a faceroll like WotLK. Screw the casuals, i want AQ back!

Blizzard will never go "back to their roots" or create a separate BC/Vanilla server. They clearly stated "An MMO is about expanding, going back to the old times would defeat the purpose, we'd rather have players experience our new content" (Something like that)
They will never do it. Period. Its nice to pretend but frankly, no point in hoping for anything.

@PremiumPastaSauce this,i agree with you.The game was very unbalanced back then,you had to invest a huge amount of time to gear up,and "casuals" had a very hard time gearing up.But i think the game is worse now,cause the meaning of gearing up now is shit,everybody runs with epics,despite their skill.So,you end up having people in raids that are totally noobs,wheres in vanilla this wasnt the case
