Brand new is the only band that has been able to evoke so much emotion in me. I thank this band for bringing so much things into my life, and making it better.
I have been a fan of brand new for 7 years now. We all contain the power and thought to write the same lyrics and same songs thats why its soo inviting and people can FEEL what brand new is producing...
does anybody know what is the background noise while the boy is speaking, saying whatever it is that hes saying. It almost sounds like a train picking up speed, or else perhaps a ground chanting "revolution."
Roelfericks you do not get the credit you need for uploading EVERY SINGLE Brand new song + lyircs, for your next birthday I'm getting you a stripper!!! :-D

Green Day was alright in the 90's. The music they make now no longer suits their name. Green Day means a day full of smoking weed. The music to suit a name like that would come from stuff like Sublime for example. Now their music is more suited to making teenage emo girls depressed. The music they did such as When I Come Around fit the name a tad bit better. They should change thier name to Darkness Falls or something.
they didnt come up with there name they named it off what their principal said when they dropped out. something like "youll be successful when theres a green day in hell"
Lol Darkness Falls. But personally I think that when bands reappear they're never as good as they where (I mean new Metallica... come on lol) But some of thier new songs are alright (21 Guns). soccercrazy309 has a great point though I mean it's like I frickin' sin to voice an opinion on YT!

@GB4ManU7fan yeah actually ..brand new is like the only band i listen to
shows how much you know ..this fuckin album is just noise and garbage ..there are 2 good songs on it ...BrandNew changed too much ..i will stick to your favorite weapon deja entendu and the devil and god a raging inside of me ..
If it's just noise and garbage why does Jesse call this his favorite album? The Beatles changed from rock pop to psychadelic. That worked out just fine.
You just can't appreciate a different sound. It's called anguish, the lyrics are the same genius, just a different sound.
@GB4ManU7fan well maybe its jesse favorite album because he likes noise and garbage ..i dont know
just because it worked for the beatles doesnt mean it works for brand new .. the 3 albums before daisy were all completely different from one another and it worked ...they kinda failed on daisy ..like they were desperate for money or somethin so they played a couple chords and hit a few cymbals and called it Daisy
i'M ACTUALLY IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND CHANGE IS THE ONLY REASON ARTIST HAVE SUCCESS. THINK ABOUT THE MASSIVE FOLLOWING OF GREEN DAY STP RHCP OUTKAST KANYE WEST JAY-Z AND THE FAILURE OF ARTIST THAT KEPT THE SAME SOUND EVERY FUCKING ALBUM
not a huge fan of green day but they do sell a lot of records, and even though i don't like them all that much nor you. They are still talented as hell. Thats part of what the argument is about. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you can't make a definitive statement based on one.
@superman36369 like nickelback they changed their sound a ton and there really successful. wait a sec. they sound the same every album no matter what but ppl still liek them :-/
So the song starts out by referencing a Christian Hymn, "Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come." ...then he confesses his unworthiness and his hope in prayer and God's rain to save the grass and the roots (all that's left of his faith?) so he can start over again and everything will be alright...
Yeah I agree one of the best songs on the cd if not the best. I had doubts about the album at first, but I will say it does grows on you. Now I cant stop listening to.
^^ im usually rubbish at searching stuf was going to go threw smallville soundtrack lists to find it but dnt think they have latest series up yet , so i did that =)
i'm totally digging this song. one thing that i find to be amazing and respectable about brand new, that they always go in a different direction yet SOMEHOW it tends to work for them.
Do ppl want them to continue to sing about teenage shit with all the emo pop punk bands out there? That genre of music is dead kids. I can listen to this new stuff with my friends around... I'd feel embarrassed to play the older stuff around my friends now... then again I'm not 16, and neither are they. You might be though, so continue to listening to their first 2 discs, but don't bitch about them growing up and having spines.. trying to sell real music, not teenage angst music haha.
i dont understand how you cant appreciate this. if you just listen to 4 albums chronologically you can hear how theyve matured since your fav weapon. its amazing. when i heard them in 2001 i was 15 and it feels like their music has continued to grow with me. I absolutely love all of their albums, but if every album sounded like their last i would probably have lost interest in it. you might not 'love' their newer stuff, but you have to at least appreciate how they've grown as artists.
My Favorite song so far on Daisy, but that is subject to change! At first I didnt like this abum at all, but now it is growing on me, so for all the people who have only listened a few times and decided that the album stunk...give it 10 or 20 more chances!

Just to let you know, the correct lyrics to the last two verses are:
