Hello, I appreciate what you are saying but please be careful with the empowering stuff. Women becoming more 'empowered' will not help society and only achieve a reverse situation as to what we have had in the past. Similar to 'Animal Farm' but from a gender perspective.

Gender equality is about both women and men working together to achieve happiness.

Powerful, strong women who are NOT NEEDY are the ones I like for friends. They're not whiners. In my experience I have not met many, if any, needy men. Horny, controling, yes (NOT ALL MEN) but not needy. I'm for personal empowerment for ALL. Woman or Man. As a couple or Not. Freedom Rocks! I'm Pro-choice too.

What I mean by women being empowered not helping society is that in most human cultures men are the dominant gender. If we empower women, then we will have a situation whereby both men and women are powerful. This will create a highly competitve and unworkable society whereby each gender is trying to control the other. A better outcome is not to empower women or belittle men but to educate men to control their biological urges and respect the rights of women

@tokyobuff I can NOT agree with that. Unempowered women don't have rights. I think it makes more SENSE for women to be as strong and powerful as they can allow themselves to be. "Counting" on the education of men (or others) just seems ridiculous to me. I'll count on my education. Not someone else's. Perhaps, If I were a man in the Middle East, (Iran?)....or back in time to circa 1880, or in the Midwest today, I MIGHT see your logic. But it would be hard.

However, you are missing the whole point. The creation of a better society is about women and men working together for the same common good. Its not about empowering either gender (or race) or making anyone more powerful than anyone else. Its about respect and loving each other.
