  • screw worrying about making money from music...music should be free......artists should get a real job and just enjoy making music to please people....

  • Czy pan jest Polakium?

Ive been buying records since i was about 12-13 saved up my money as a 13 year old bought brand new 1200mk2s. Spent soo much money over the year on vinyls and it was worth it hands down.

  • btw: your a great dj

  • i buy cds dude i only download porn videos xD

  • Thanks for supporting your scene, BigMilan. It's fact that each song I release costs me more than I could ever make back from it. As such, I'm working a full time job, which leaves little time for producing. Vicious circle at the moment, I'm afraid. There will always be people who just download songs - I can deal with that... it's the DJs who are being paid to play pirate music in clubs that gets me! I know now that producing is never going to make me a "living", ever...

  • dude, just try to create a law that says dont download music. Why would you buy music if you can download? Thats not a good thing to think, but thats what people do.

  • I wish I could!!! There are probably no record stores within a 100 mile radius of here. I wish i had the opportunity to buy vinyls. If ppl had more access to record stores or at least a wide variety of music in stores (not just pop, rap, rock, etc.) pirating would not be such a problem i think

  • Order online and have them deliver for you =o)

  • support ur artist dont steal ya bitches!.

so they can buy better equipment to produce better sounds to keep audience entertained........im following BigMilan...ur always right *thumbs up*

  • I agree with your views on supporting your artists and music however, take this into consideration; downloading (free) = more people listen to the producer because it's free, yes?

So it's fair to say that this generates a greater interest in a specific producer. The producer then makes more money from their live performances because more people will pay to see them.

Live shows are the biggest income for them.

  • Quality reasons, and you need an internet connection constantly to do that..

  • This man speaks the truth!

  • hi,in my case,i have decks for cd's but,i'm still buying vinyls!!i hope vinyl will resist the downloads!!!(sorry for my bad english)

  • Wow dude, a Che turntable? That's in pretty bad taste.

  • makes it even more BA

  • eheh, no, not really. In a video dedicated to denouncing theft he sports the image of renowned mass murderer. Stealing is bad but killing innocent men, women, and children is A-OK. The hypocrisy is almost laughable. I wouldn't take anything this guy says seriously.

  • neither would I really. just don;t listen to anything i say

  • may sumwun plz gimme a gud link for buying vinyls for trance/hardtrance/hardstyle plz..?

must also be able to ship to canada =)

preferably if its in canada too so shipping is cheaper.. if not US..? =P

  • pa tko ce ici na selidbu? :D ako sam dobro razumijo xD nek samo zatvori vrata da slusamo dalje :D

back to english well i rarely download music unless it's bought or sent from dj himself :)

  • i would buy my music legally if i could but where I live, it's pretty much impossible to finda record shop with all those kind of songs I'd listen to. Too bad I can't even DJ cause you can't find vinyl's from scot project etc.

  • if u have to download just use iTunes store

  • great video BigMilan, i wholeheartedly agree with what you say. It's really hard to make sure everything you have is obtained via legal means, especially with this kind of music being nowhere near mainstream, but i understand where you come from and i wish sometime in the future that 100% of my music would be all legal. -----Support the artist and they'll keep making the awesome music that we all love and enjoy------

  • dude 1$ for a song is OUTRAGEOUS. i would pay around 1k for the songs on my iphone. the better option is to pay to see them live or buy there shirt or pay to see a movie (10 fucking dollars) in the theater with the theater experiance. Ive made a few low low low budget movies for film fesivals around my area so i know all of the work that goes into making a movie but 20$ for a movie i may watch once every 6 months is lame because i have many movies that would put me into dept if i bought them all

  • Thats just my opinion man and i respect yours.

  • You look kinda sad at the end of your video. Hope that's not the case.

    Wishing you a delighfull weekend

  • I have exactly the same thoughts about sharing mp3. People ask me to send me mp3 all the time. I never will do that eather. If they like they should buy point !

NIce to see other videos of you hehe

Watching your older videos are nice , but boring after 100 times lol

  • hehe well thanx for watching more than 30 times anyway :D

  • BigMilan, are you going to Defqon1 in September?

  • i would buy the artists cds if they even had it in my country.

they dont have hardstyle jumpstyle music here lol.

  • same here...

I think I'm the only dude in the city that's listening to hard trance and similar genres. And there is no way they'd open a record store nearby :(((

    Keep it spinning Milan!

  • Their not sold in regular stores, have to order online:)

  • I admit to being a downloader. I torrent songs, movies... everything. I realize that it's stealing. I feel bad about it occasionally... however I feel i still support the scene. I don't exclusively download. I treat my downloading as a form of sampling. I explore genres artists etc. and when I find something new, innovative or that I truly love or identify with... well hell. I've got a huge collection of CD's. I support artists (especially indie) that I love.

  • Buying works from the artists you love really helps support them in the long run, that's why download websites (pay 1 euro, or dollar per song) can be great, I mean they have specials too. Vinyl is becoming hard to come by for some genre's but there are sites that artists directly sell CDs or downloadable tracks, any support would definitely be appreciated I'm sure.

  • Some good points, I can't say I agree with everything but I can definitely understand the frustration.

With the internet and advanced technology it has brought great things to the masses (but also more problems)...

for creative artists its a great tool for getting their talent and works out there... sadly it can easily be stolen too.

  • why would it be illegal?

  • once i get a job and can afford to DJ, i'll defiantly buy vinyl

  • how much for your whole setup?

  • SUPPORT THE SCENE

  • THIS VIDEO SHOULD BE SEENT TO EVERYONE ON THE PLANET...fuck ya

  • all this especially applies if you're actually going to be MAKING MONEY with the music you own.

For example, assume you get paid $100 per hour as a dj. Now, you play perhaps 15 song per hour. Say then you play any particular song at 10 different gigs before you stop playing that song ever again. If each set was 1 hour long, you would make $1000 by that point.

  • NOW, if you paid for vinyl, that's 15x18= $270. You just made $730 profit. IF on the other hand, like most DJs nowdays, you play MP3 files, and you bought those songs for $2 each, you would have only paid $30 for the music, which leaves you with $970 profit. Is that REALLY too pricey? Even if you only played brand new songs each gig, that's $30 out of $100... but let's face it - you'll buy no more than 5 new songs a week on average.

  • well if the movie industry as a whole suffers, the actors have less work

  • For that you have for free youtube, or other websites where you can pre-listen tracks, then see do you really want to buy that. You can also spend only 0,12€ = 12 cent's only for 1 track. I'm HIGHLY of that opinion, that you have MORE than 1€ in your pocket.

    Cheers

  • He's saying in general, don't download shit.

  • ok man i know wht your saying yea but what if you can't buy these CD's were you from and you not allowed to buy of the internet what else are you ment to do ??

  • By The way Bro - Iam totally with you - But as everyone said the Music industry made it very hard and expensive in these days...And by the way tell me if you are playing 3-5 sets each weeked where at least you will have 100 tracks each week - so you will end up spending 600$of Music each week and you know what for each set you play in a clubyou will earn not more than 300-400$ per night if you are really lucky in a weekend...so you do the math by end of the year you will be in the minus.

  • lol well if u buy 100 tracks you'll play most of them a lot of times. i doubt you'll play ONLY new songs every single gig. you would probably only buy so many THIS YEAR. 3-4 gigs aught to cover that. it's like paying for diesel if you drive a truck.

  • Where was the ''Practice and enjoy?! ''

    =]

  • maybe he was talking about Movies that had soundtracks like New Divide - Linkin Park for Transformers , ya know ?

  • ahh :) I love the way you and your father talk to each other "zatvori vrata!" , "sta ocejs?!" :D

like me and my dad :P

  • sometime's i'll illegally download or get tracks off my mates first, but most of the time i'll then go on to buy in a cd store, or on itunes. it's better quality anyway, plus with cds you get the cover slip n stuff. feels better if you can hold it. i'd love to buy vinyls but i cudn't do owt with them lol.

  • Not everyone can afford to buy music for super high prices. I love music, but it's the big corperations that is fucking it all up. The artist just get a very little part of the entire income from selling.

  • buy it for like $2 or whatever these things cost as mp3 files. don't buy vinyls if it's not your thing

  • Yeah, I do that sometimes. But still, I'd rather meet the artist face to face and give him some dollars if he could burn a cd for me and give it to me, rather than buying it in a shop, for skyhigh prices. The problem is that the artists just get a few % of the selling, the big winners is the greedy companies. That's why I don't buy music from stores. I'd rather want to see people develop the filesharing technology and do like Spotify, etc.

  • hoho
