I have the Fireball 100 and the Orange 40th anniversary 4x12 ... and it sound 1000x better in person. They really don't do this powerball any justice. Listen to one in person before you judge one.
Sorry to say I do not know much about these players here but I have played guitar for only 3 years and can play almost like this. I can also say I can hear these same players in guitar center anywhere in the U.S. And Actually have heard BETTER guitarists playing at guitar center. Sorry just sayin.... This video is called Monsters Of High Gain, so I expected there to be some wider coverage than this. No offense to either Ty or Misha but I simply don't care for their playing styles and tone so this video really isn't useful for me.

Actually my tone has moderate mids, bass around 8 and treble at 10, so it's a fairly balanced tone. It's also quite annoying that both guitarists dowtune by quite a large amount, which is not something I do. Simply put neither guitarist show how versatile the amp is in its high gain tone.

im just not so much for the brands that sell small 5 watt practice heads for $500 (blackstar, etc.), im planning on getting an ENGL Invader, Schecter Hellraiser C-8, and an Orange AC30 and ill post a higher quality sounding of a sweet ENGL tone(:
@TheDailyDigest Can't Go wrong with ENGL, super high quality from what i have heard. The Invader is a really ass kicking amp, high quality shit. I am saving up for a special edition with EL34's, I just love the british sounding metal better than the 6L6's.
@LapizLazuli333 Try two KT88s in the power section and use the ohm setting that is half of your cab rating since you're cutting out two tubes. If it's your first time wear a diaper or else you will fill up your shoes. All ENGLs come with really really small output transformers(which choke out with 4 tubes) so what you'll end up with is a ridiculously amazing sound. You will only lose 3db of headroom, but everything about the amp will be better. Comes close to a VHT/Fryette power section.
I respect Ty, but he isn't doing these amps justice, and Misha is the worst piece of shit ever. If you wanted a good demo, you should have brought in Ola Englund
@88segovia I only skip to him because he uses the same pickups that i got in my custom made guitar, and i wanna know what they sound like through a high gain amp (I have a Fuchs Mantis).
As much as I love Misha his playing doesn't really shine here. I guess the fact that he knows no theory would make up for his lack of improv skills, but compared to the tone he uses in Periphery, this is terrible. It just comes out muddy with no punch, and the other guy doesn't have any bass or mids. The funny thing is if you combined the two it would probably sound fine.

@anusmister While he may have had a great education in music theory, he's never played anything that even vaguely interested me. I think that Misha has a distinctive way of playing, and Ty is just okay. I think it just goes to show that regardless of musical knowledge, an ear for music is required to write interesting songs. Although if you could show me a good "Synyster" solo, I would give it a try.
Why does everyone seem to hate Misha and Ty? Aren't there bands which are more offensively bad? I personally like both of these guys, especially when it's considered that far worse bands like Avenged Sevenfold are insanely popular (relatively speaking.).

@TheDailyDigest Can't Go wrong with ENGL, super high quality from what i have heard. The Invader is a really ass kicking amp, high quality shit. I am saving up for a special edition with EL34's, I just love the british sounding metal better than the 6L6's.

@LapizLazuli333 Try two KT88s in the power section and use the ohm setting that is half of your cab rating since you're cutting out two tubes. If it's your first time wear a diaper or else you will fill up your shoes. All ENGLs come with really really small output transformers(which choke out with 4 tubes) so what you'll end up with is a ridiculously amazing sound. You will only lose 3db of headroom, but everything about the amp will be better. Comes close to a VHT/Fryette power section.

As much as I love Misha his playing doesn't really shine here. I guess the fact that he knows no theory would make up for his lack of improv skills, but compared to the tone he uses in Periphery, this is terrible. It just comes out muddy with no punch, and the other guy doesn't have any bass or mids. The funny thing is if you combined the two it would probably sound fine.

@anusmister While he may have had a great education in music theory, he's never played anything that even vaguely interested me. I think that Misha has a distinctive way of playing, and Ty is just okay. I think it just goes to show that regardless of musical knowledge, an ear for music is required to write interesting songs. Although if you could show me a good "Synyster" solo, I would give it a try.

What you said does not change the fact that these videos are filled with comments from nothing more than the fanboys of an average guitarists, with a unique style that they all enjoy worshiping. To be perfectly honest, he doesn't do any of these amps justice, but thats what happens when you hook up a compressor and turn the gate up to 100%
