Gay marriage is very practical. If gay couple r recognized under law, then thr can be no tampering with legacies or wills, pension, disability, & medicare entitlements & supplemental health care benefits. If a gay couple have lived together for 40yrs & one the partner dies intestate then the fact they've built assets means nothing under a jurisdiction not recognizing thr marriage. Canada understand this, why cant the US. Its not about 'legalizing perversion", its about extending human rights.

Its a step. I believe that. Im gay and as of right now I have no intent to get married...just because of my own personal beliefs and the religious background that marriage is based in. But I do believe that all people should have the right to love and show their love for one another. Predators could make the same case, they were born loving children, or that someone was born loving goats and animals. Why can't they marry who they want to? They can't help it, sure to us it seems perverted but not to them. no but the fact that there are so many homeless children means that they need a family and just because homosexual couples do not bring the diversity of a man-woman relationship does not mean that they cannot be amazing parents. I am gay myself and I work with disabled children every saturday. And (if i may say so) i am quite good at it. And I love children and hope to be able to adopt children some day.
