  • SORRY MATE FOR THE LITTLE POINTS 5/10 NEVERTHELESS KEEP ON GOING

  • I MISS Big Daddy!

  • Really rough sound, great!

  • Bugs is an amazing player and and an amazing teacher! Great footage! Thanks for sharing!

  • i had the pleasure of mixing this band in vienna/austria...boy, did we have fun...;-)

  • I'm sure that Bugs is a great guy and the music is beautiful. Where are the Black Blues men and women in the blues bands? It will be a great day when we all can just play and just be. My question disturbs me, but I see the pattern so often. The music is so deeply buried in the lives and sufferings of Black people and the music dies a slow death. Each group should do their part to keep Black people connected to this music. A tree torn from its roots will soon die. Peace!!

  • Bugs please come back to Hutchinson, ks. I said please

  • Kirby with TWO slides!! He's awesome!

  • Bugs has been a mainstay at Dallas bars for years and years. A hidden treasure.

  • @SlowwHand been with bugs since the 70s! the electric ballroom!

  • I've seen Bugs a few times and every time I leave as happy as I did the FIRST time I saw him. For all you tone chasers out there, this guy's tone is just as awesome as EVH's brown sound or SRV's sound.

And thats Ms. Peggy on drums. A very sweet and humble lady who I enjoyed chatting with between sets

  • @Harleydude2 is ms. peggy linda waring AKA fancy space from bug's john nitzinger days? i love how he throws dust my broom in the song

  • @rorygg1--It is Linda. LOL I was on the phone with my mom (Peggy) when I typed my last comment. Funny how the mind works, huh???

  • @rorygg1 Yes, that is Linda Waring, aka Fancy Space on the drums.....tearing it up!

  • Kirby, if I knew anything bout' the blues when we were kids kickin' it around for fun I would have said lets forget this rock stuff. I didn't know anything and still don't..lol

  • My band opened for bugsback in the late 70s in Jonesborro Ark.

  • My band opened for Bugs In the late 70s in Jonesborro Arkansas!

  • Decided to check Bugs Henderson out because I am a huge Dimebag Darrell fan and I know this is one of his influences. Its always interesting seeing were particular parts any guitarists playing comes from.

  • Wow!!! Excellent playing and killer tone !! Thanks for the upload.

  • NICE this was my first intro to bugs WoW

  • Saw this guy at Big Johns barn in colin county back 1982

  • hey donpendry, I saw him at Joes Garage back in the 80's with the Stratoblasters, here in Fort Worth small world aint it? Bugs is a hell of a player!

  • non better, wheres bobby chitwood on the bas

  • remember him on the Trinity River leavy at Tootsies in Ft Worth.

  • I saw this guy twice in 70s and loved it

  • Saw Bugs and his band this past weekend. I've got to say Linda the drummer was the best part..

  • I just saw him as well in Lyons, Colorado. ON May 1st. 1st time I saw him in 18 years. Was not dissapointed at all.

  • I saw this lineup up here in Wichita Falls around this time. Bugs has the best guitar tone of anyone. I also got to visit with Linda in between sets. She was very nice. And man, she stayed in the pocket all night long.

  • When was this recorded? I saw this lineup June of 06, and then saw them Oct 06 without the keyboard player. Kirby Kelly on second guitar is a monster player as well he's recorded some stuff on his own.

  • Bugs was the happening thing on Commerce at Central across from KLIF at The Cellar. That was in Dallas,1969. A great place to be after 13 Months in Vietnam.

  • I seen him lastnite in Plano Texas, The band was tight as a clams ass. These people from Texas can rock. I love the tone on his guitar. His drummer Linda was great.Great show.

  • There must be something in the water down there in Texas.

That state produces so many BA players. Another player a friend turned me onto Tad Hillin-"El Jefe" & "Riverwalk"-another monster in the vain of SRV EJ JW and of course the King BUGS!!!!

  • That was really mis-leading,"MONSTER",lol! Tad Hillin didn't show/play anything special, boring tone! It was your typical bar band playing for some spare pocket change, plus it was very Jazzy! Obviously, you loved it,...it just didn't do it for me.

  • I saw Bugs in Ranger, Texas back in 1980 at a place called the Banshee. Everybody was pissed off because he didn't do a bunch of cover tunes like all the other bands who played there. He played there a month later and only about 6 people showed up. Me and my future wife were 2 of them and he told the people there to bring their chairs up front. So we sat down right in front of Bugs and saw one the best concerts I've ever seen.

  • Classic!

So many fine players in this area...Rocky, Joe Kubek, Darrell, Stevie, and on and on...I miss Texas!

  • Make sure you watch the other Texas born son doing this video. Johnny Winter. Another version that rocks.

  • Yeah, man. I got it right on my favorites list. Have you checked out guitarslinger groups at yahoo? It's all about Johnny...You sound like you might like it! DL

  • I know I would love it but I don't know what the guitarslinger groups are. If you clue me in, I'll certainly check it out.

  • Been watching Bugs for years. whisky river, Sneaky Petes...and that bar on Greenville,,The cave? Dont remember. Never used to play with shoes on.

  • Long-time Dallas club player. A home boy.

  • I have most of his cd's and I make a point of seeing Bugs every time he comes to the Pacific Northwest. He played the Waterfront Park Blues Festival one year(look it up, it's huge) and flat tore it up. Ruined the place for anyone following him the rest of the 4 day festival. People were talking about it for months. Portland Oregon is Bugsville, no doubt!

  • I've seen Bugs a couple of times with Linda on the drums. She is a very sweet lady and Bugs has the best tone I've ever heard.

  • That is sooooo good.

  • As a nineteen year old Vietnam vet, just back home in Oak Cliff.I first heard Bugs at the Cellar at Commerce and Central in Dallas. Now I'm an old man and Bugs is still kicking ass. I've jammed with his bass player Kieth and that guy can do things unreal. Kirby Kelly is fabulous as a solo act on acoustic slide and great vocals. I gotta see those guys together Live.

  • ..Halloween night, I'll drive 5 whole miles to the B.A.C.A. clubhouse in Olden...where BUGS will be palying...HELL YES, it's gonna be a good night, packed tight, in a tiny venue...

  • I used to see Bugs rockin at the Texas Opry House in Houston.

Good to see he can still finesse the fretboard!

  • Wow...have'nt seen Linda Waring on drums with Bugs since the "Emporium" days on Greenville Avenue.Everytime I sat in with Bugs on drums she'd show up and show me up! She is tough, check her out with John Nitzinger too! Bugs keep Rocking Baby!

  • rurandy1027 is buckelastard now on YT. Closed that account rurandy. Keep rockin Bugs! Linda you're still a killa drummer! Peace!

    Big R
