Just my two cents on the subject. I do not wear anything on the back of my duty belt. If you watch the video the belt is set up exactly how I wear it. Notice that there is nothing on the back of the belt. Not all the training in every state or agency is the same. If you want to wear something on the back of your duty belt then by all means do so. Just remember that not Law Enforcement Agency has the same training.
@1010code3 There are thousands of officers with "proper" training who have been harmed or killed. It happens. I would never, ever think "most likely" I will not get into a certain situation. Complacency leads to mistakes, which can lead to death. Just as you would never think of any traffic stop as "routine"... You get my point and I'd rather make it home at night safe. The only thing that will go on my backside is a soft glove pouch.
@1010code3 It is a bad idea to place cuffs on the small of your back. Not only does it hurt like hell when you fall or when sitting in a patrol vehicle for extended periods, but when you happen to get into a rustle and have to use non compliant cuffing, how are you going to reach your cuffs if you are pinned on your back?
@Rakuun It was just a suggestion, notice I said "you could". Yes, I know it's not the best place to have a cuff case, but if you are limited for space, something might have to go on your backside. Also, if you have proper training you will *most likely* never be pinned on your back by the suspect. It's also a personal preference. I have placed cuffs (single pair, single case) in the small of my back when I was experimenting with my belt set up. I didn't even notice when I was sitting in my car.
We carry the Taser on leg of the off hand as so not to mistake it for our duty weapon. I don't think there should be a problem with just a glove pouch on the small of your back.
I carry two pair of cuffs and that is a double cuff case on my duty belt. I will look at your video and get back to you. I do not put anything on the back of my belt. I have heard that is bad for your back if you fall on your back. The taser we use goes in a holster on your leg.
@jaymo1633 Ah, ok. Drop leg taser hoslter. Interesting idea, haven't seen that before. Is it on your strong side though? I could see that being problematic (LEO draws firearm instead of taser because both are on same side). The only reason I have the glove pouch on my back is because there is nothing in there that would hurt my back if I fell - just gloves, and some earpieces. Thanks.
Interesting set up. I like how you keep it simple. Do you only carry 1 pair of cuffs? Or is that a double cuff case?
To answer your question where to put the taser: You could move the cuff case to the rear of the belt (small of back) and then put the taser where the cuff case use to be, as a cross draw.
Also, do you have any suggestions for my belt set up (see my video)?
Thanks for the positive comment UnrulyTenEight.

1010code3, as for the Fenix I have no experience with that flashlight. I will be doing a review on a Streamlight LED when I get the time.

jaymo, have a question for you. Have you had experience with Fenix tactical flashlights?

@Rakuun Which is what I have stated. I only carry the medical glove pouch in the small of my back.

@jaymo1633 Ah, ok. That makes sense. Firearm on strong hand side, and taser reverse. Cool, and thanks for the channel comment. Appretiate it.

I use the same belt, except I use a Blackhawk SERPA holster for my Glock and X26. The Accumold Elite line is great stuff.
