  • This made me smile. I was an usher at a movie theater when this film came out. Charles Durning is so great!

  • As it was, is now, and shall forever be.... politics in America!

  • Amazing! Like a HUGE political summary :) Love it!

  • I have loved this since I first saw it. And Charles Durning is a great American veteran, wounded 3 times in Combat in WWII and still never forgot those of us that serve. Great song and Great man.

  • like if you think the footwork from 2:12 to 2:15 is cooler than Stanky leg, dougie and shuffle...

  • charles during looks like karl malden they both have stuck pig noses.

  • I learned that little turn move with the cowboy hat as a kid. Then my mom asked me where I learned it and I said 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas!'. Did not end well.

  • Its a possible maybe! haha!

  • The crazy thing is.. I've lived in Texas my whole life and this could have easily been today.

  • Love this...especially the sideways hat thing! Reminds me of today's Democrat!!

  • I loved this song growing up. Can you imagine a five year old little girl running around singing this everywhere she goes?

  • Funny song!!! Love it!!

  • I love heavy metal and all rock n roll, but someties I love to do little sidestep and come n listen to this song. I love watching him dance around in this video, he is silly. gotta love him.

  • Is that Newt Gingrich?

  • He knows Miss Mona, you can tell in his eyes.

  • The Poli-TRICKAN's National Anthem? Abso-tively, Posi-lutely!

  • Seen long ago....those crooked repubs....isn't it.....

  • Superb song and right-on-target stab at politician´s bullcrap.

    Durning is a great thesp.

  • Just listen to a Michelle Bachmann interview.

  • My thoughts exactly about Bush and Perry!

  • Rick Perry played by Charles Durning. Rick Perry for president anybody?

Dumbass media played by Jonathan Winters

  • Generic statement for any political stance: "This skit accurately represents every politician who I oppose."

  • I would take him over Ohio's Governor Kasich.

  • I think of all the President's I've experienced, this one describes Bill Clinton best.

  • @Pfisiar22 I don't think so. It seems more like George W Bush

  • Damn good spoof of politics if ever there was one. This countries problems can be told in this one little sketck

  • This is a career-setting precursor to Charles' Durning's brief turn and dandy side-step in "O, Brother, Where Art Thou" stage scene with the equally scene-stealing Soggy Bottom Boys (aka a looney George Clooney and Co.).

  • Yes, politician national anthem. But when I watch this scene all I can think of is Buck Strickland from King of the Hill. I think they made him sound like Charles Durning on purpose.

  • OOoohh...Obama loves to dance a little sidestep....now you see him, now he's in Rio, while Libya he bombs....

  • @dumbbo1

Actually this would be "W"'s song... he IS from Texas, and did you understand ANYTHING he said? At least Pres. Obama speaks english.

  • @Kingonads Obama speaks teleprompter BS.

  • @KCTKOC But it is in ENGLISH, not in some made up mumble jumble where he screws up classic folk sayings.... "Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice...."

  • @Niagaras4me. Love the Yosemite Sam feet comment.

  • Bad news is that alot of politicians are TWO-FACED and we need all of them to serve military time and give up their perks and live ordinary lives like our founding fathers did meaning NO PAYMENT for what they are doing

  • Bill Clinton's theme song!

  • Dubya Bush's song is more apt: "I'm A Loser, Baby".

  • @GodCreatesGays2

I don't think God made a boo boo

  • No, Xiber1, but the glassy-eyed sheeple who touted Dubya as the second coming sure did.

  • @GodCreatesGays2 Love the word sheeple. That is all.

  • Now I have this song playing on a loop in my head - Charles Durning should've won an Oscar - after reading the Wiki on the Chicken Ranch. I love that this turned out to be essentially a true story.

  • Charles Durning definately stole the show!

  • Out of the blue this head pops into my head sometimes, luv it esp his little Yosemite Sam feet and the way his body turns and makes his hat crooked!

  • He, Charles Durning, was also great in "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" as another politician, better movie by far. BO could not have said it better without the dance, unless you consider that little Fag dance he did with the Lesbian Ellen DeGenerate...

  • I think I just heard Barack Hussain Obama give this exact speech!!

  • @MOMforAmericaPrez Classic teabagger response. For one it's Hussein, not Hussain, and I think you mean you heard him give THAT exact speech. It's no coincidence that the large majority the brainwashed Fox News/Teabagger followers have the cognitive skills of a fifth grader. They're easily frightened, mislead and have no genuine insights of their own, just regurgitated nonsense. I bet you think socialism, communism and Marxism are one in same too?

  • @cf817

I see you must be one of the Progressive "Free Speech if it Agrees with what I think" accept all types.

My God (dont cringe) the guy must have hit a nerve with you. By the way, you may react to this comment in anyway you please and you know what. Its all good.

God Bless you and keep you. (You might want to mention something about clinging to my weapons too if you do reply)

  • @Perihelios

    "you're the dogmatic a-hole"

    "no *you're* the dogmatic a-hole"

at least we can all agree on something...

  • @bennetm And while they're arguing... tell me GWB didn't do a damned find Charles Durning impression for 8 years. Other than weight, they even looked a lot a like. :)

  • i agree with the statement of this being a politicians anthem.

  • La Grange, Texas ha ha ha ha....my uncle used to visit the chicken ranch. A lot of the cops did back then. ZZ Top Song too. ha ha ha Thanks for posting.

  • Charles Durning's portrayal of the Texas governor was great. Dolph Briscoe, who just recently died, was governor during the Chicken Ranch controversy.

  • This was the best part in the entire movie! Charles Durning was so impressive that he received an Academy award nomination for his performance.

  • My favorite scene.

  • SPOT ON !!! I Agree ! This could well have been Performed and filmed here "NORTH TERRACE ADELAIDE SOUTH AUSTRALIA" ,,,lol,,,

  • This is the epitome of a politician. Especially her in 'good ole South Australia"!
