  • This is the same I was at the Grand Ole Opry Dec 1977. Getting to sing

Release Me with Stu at his Winery on 22 April 2005 was such an honor. Thanks Stu Phillips

    Best Wishes LittleCountryDJ

  • is this the same guy who wrote "Knight Rider Theme" intro?

  • Stu did my televison show on WAVE-TV often when he was in Louisville to tape his show Music Place. Very nice man. Among other things, he's an Episcoplaian Minister.

  • That's a great little story CosmoDale, I love to hear little titbits of info on some of the stars, it makes things even more interesting. Until recently I had never heard of Stu Philips , then I heard him sing on the country family reunion shows recorded during the 90's.... on rural TV here in the UK. He was singing ''Suppertime'' and although he was very nervous, he came across as a lovely gentle type of guy!

  • Thanks Jessilu. Tell you another quick one. Stu asked me to put an unknown singer on my show to sing a song he recorded to help him get over the jitters of singing solo on TV.. It was Billy Swan and the song was "I Can Help." It became a huge hit.

  • Oh how fabulous, I remember Billy Swan very well, and ''I can Help'' was a big fave of mine :-)

  • Does anyone have sing song "Juanita Jones"? I can't find it anywhere.

  • I have the lyrics to the song "Juanita Jones" I would love to hear Stu sing it.

  • @buckskin0071001

    It's uploaded, enjoy.

  • @worthyofadmiration

I uploaded "Jaunita Jones" a few months ago. Enjoy.

  • Went to his winery last summer - it's beautiful - had a great blackberry wine - he sang for us too - loved El Tigre and Colorado. Never realized how rich his voice was- this video doesn't do him justice

  • this is the man that compose knight rider theme????????????????

  • :) No, a different Stu Phillips.

  • Hoping someone posts his duet "Put it off until tomorrow" from the 1960's.

  • This is excellent! Stu owns "Long Hollow Winery" near Nashville. A couple of years ago on "stars homes" tour, the winery was the last stop. Stu actually sang about four songs for the crowd. It was terrific.

  • I did havde the duet but may have worn it out; will look for it. Stu is on some of the Gaither Gospel now. I'm sure he would find a copy of it. He's a great person.

  • Good song. Anybody got Stu's hit songs "Bracero" "El Tigre"

    "Jaunita Jones"?
