When my mum was a child, she had two german shepherd dogs, one male and one female, and they were the best dogs. The female, Gretchen saved her life before and she was so attached to her! She told me a story of how she was on a train, leaving and her mother and Gretchen were left at the train station and Gretchen followed the train for a few feet until she was called back. She was 6 years old when she died. Somebody took her and poisoned her. D: But GSDs...the best dogs ever. <3

There lovely German Shepherds,they'll soon be 40kg/6st & beautiful bundles of fun. Ours is the most loyal dog and friend you could ever wish for, there so intelligent and funny, they recognise so many words/phrases.

i used to have a german sheperd she loved the outdoors so we  kept her outside most of the time and one day somone stole her i loved her so much but now i got me a new puppie and i love him too :)

Hopefully you keep the new puppy indoors. :( I've read that German Shepherds do best as indoor dogs anyway. They need to be with their people.

My last shepherd died 15 years ago, but I can still remember looking at her as a puppy, with floppy ears and a flat face, and wondering as I always did with young puppies, "Is that really going to end up looking like a german shepherd?"

My German Shepard, if a stranger comes in my yard. She'll bark like hell, but she'll be wagging her tail and panting. And if they say anything that sounds close to Zoey, like doggie, she'll quit barking, dash to them and cover them in drool :) Horribley spoiled and I love her.

What is wrong with some of you people? First off learn how to spell. Second, these dogs are very family friendly. They are one of the best dogs to own. Animals like people have different personalities and so to say all of one breed is dangerous is stupid. That's like saying all of one race is dangerous. PEOPLE make dangerous dogs!!!

No all german shepherds killing machines. My german shepherds Abby and Sage wouldn't hurt anyone. Even my wolf/shepherd hybrid Brutus is safe around people.
