@googuy999 the whole reason for a spiked hammer like that is penetration. There have been many fights where the Judge smashes down just once, masses up the insides of the opposite robot, and causes the other robot to malfunction. Also, had he managed to get into that wheel chasm just right, he could have blown Rammstein's driving ability as well. The spiked hammer is perfect for what the Judge does.

I think the robot with the moving spike is the superior design. YOu're going to get a lot more impact with the fast moving hammer than with a simple ram.
