@PCBHLOVER Blackadder is a BBC Production, the BBC never have ads because they are paid for by the Taxpayer, thus they do the 30 mins. This is a mixed blessing, when their programs are of quality (like this one), one can enjoy seeing the whole thing uninterrupted. But when the programs are crap (like they usually tend to be), the taxpayers generally get annoyed that the government make them pay the funding.
Edmund: If we lose, I'll be chopped to pieces. My arms will end up at Essex, my torso in Norfolk, and my genitalia stuck up in a tree somewhere in Rutland.
...
Edmund: And I shall prove to all that I'm a man.
Percy: But you are a man.
Edmund: But how shall it be proved, Percy?
Percy: Well, we could look up that tree in Rutland.
The first series really captures the bleak beauty of the middle ages..............I can almost smell the woodsmoke and hear the horses hooves on the cobble stones.
This is up there with MONTEY PYTHONS FLYING CIRCUS! very good acting or over-acting as the case may be.Funny as hell but lost to the unsophisticated and public school set.HA! Peter Cook was also in the movie "YELLOWBEARD"among many other well known actors such as Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin.
