@tappman85 and I would like to see one of yours, but I'm afraid that if its anything like this shit then perhaps you are better off not uploading anything little man.
@SirJamestheIII yea but i have a lot more respect for di meola lol. and when he was playing the nylon he wasnt claiming hes playing anything "classical" did he?
@DjZormMusic good point. i guess fusion is just the "do whatever the fuck you want" genre. but george has some insane technique but i wasn't a fan of this vid
@SirJamestheIII i guess, but its one thing to just play notes fast, its what you do with them -how musical you can be with them that counts, and a lot of people neglect that.
@DjZormMusic i think chopin, vivaldi, paganini and many other composers made music that is lightning fast and still is very beautiful. i don't really buy into "he has no soul only speed" BS all the time (it is true a lot) but sometimes i see people saying that stuff on GIlbert, Becker, Vai, Satch, Howe and many other videos and it is disrespectful. (personally i think MAB sucks) George's stuff is very melodic and his composition can sometimes be excellent like his work with vitalij kuprij.
@SirJamestheIII well..it is actually true with many electric guitar players. all those older composers you listed- their compositions were very musical, even the faster pieces. its just that today people dont take that into account because of the standard set today. if people like melody with no dynamics ect. thats fine thats their taste. however some of the players you listed have good expression so its better than the usual.
i won't get into an argument about it, but i think you should look into MAB more. he has some very melodic songs. there is of course, the obvious rainforest, 2x again, a new day etc. but there is also so much to live for, stop complaining, and a lot of his acoustic improvs. i think you should look into him more, he is a great composer imo. i don't like his newest album though. covers and wankery, not much else.

I think it's because he went on to do teaching and studying music. Yngwie usually tours a lot.

this is awesome. But is he reaally playing classical guitar with a pick?
P3313 3 years ago 14
p3313: woohoo, playing nylon's with a pick sounds great imo Check the Indigenous song I have in my videos. It's on nylon (with pick). It rips.
atrickpay11 3 years ago
Is there a problem with playing classical guitar with a pick? Thumb down man.
lep4372 2 years ago
No, I never said there was, I just think it doesn't sound as good with nylon strings.
P3313 2 years ago 2
I mean I think nylon strings sound way better when played with your fingers.
