I found a nice one with a wooden bore and a plastic head piece from a music shop in Bolder Colorado (Bolder Early Music Shop ?)for about $ 37 USD plus shipping. It is a Mollenhauer Prima Recorder 1094 and it looks like an outstanding instrument. I have an Adris Dream (also from Mollenhauer) which also has a nice tone, but I think I want a non wide bore recorder.
The artwork on here is awesome as well. I noticed a Bosch and also a Chagall. Amazing how many times the recorder has shown up in art over the centuries, yet many people still think of it as a toy instead of a legitimate instrument. I love the recorder and sleep with mine every night (pathetic statement on the state of my love life perhaps lol).I applaud this channel and would love to post some stuff with your permission kind Sir.
A lovely collection of images, well curated! This gathering place for recorder players is a wonderful idea, very inspiring. It's great to see and hear the wide range of expressions with the instrument. Thanks for pulling it all together so elegantly.

I've played the recorder in elementary school...I've recently been inclined to take up the recorder once again, this time much more seriously.
I've lost my old plastic recorder, but I tihnk I can find it....I really want to buy a nice wooden one.
I think the one I have now is a Baroque, but I might buy an alto....I'm not sure yet...

Je ne connais pas l'auteur, ni le titre du morceau mais l'interprétation est époustouflante !!!! bravo

I've desired to have a portrait of myself holding a recorder or sitting at the keyboard--I'm going to have to learn how to paint.

Thank you, but it isn't me performing. It is Dan Laurin. If I could play that well, I would be famous!

Ben fatto BRAVO !!

Thank you all for your nice comments. Please send your recorder videos to the recorder group for approval.

How do you send them? I have some stuff on here under my name. One piece you may like is called "An Evening In Vienna."
It is an original composition very much in the classical vein. I play Alto recorder on it with the other recorders sampled and overdubbed.
