This bike really rides well :-) you controll it much easier than an R1 in my opinion (integrated brakes, ABS, ASR), and what is even more important it can comfortably accomodate a guy of my size (196 cm = 6ft6') which japs cannot :-)

Based on that I can imagine it's impressive.

I drive a BMW 328is coupe, who knew a car with only a 200hp 2.8litre I6 could pull 60mph in 5.00 and top at 143mph on a factory tune.

That video is not available (to my knowledge) on YouTube, unfortunately, and not by mistake. If you look on the back of a K1200R owner's manual, you will see this video's claim is not consistent with the actual quote from BMW.

I should qualify this by stating I owned a K12R and worked at a BMW dealer.

As for the claim of 2.6 seconds, it is not true. Consider this: the streamlined K1200S with 4 more horsepower accomplishes this in 2.8 seconds and is considered by BMW as the fastest bike they've produced to date. The marketing team behind this video made an error showing 2.6 seconds originally, but later corrected the video to show...
