  • ffs grow the fuck up. Can't you see the music is telling of lands and people that were pillidged and robbed regardless of their being irish or scottish. We all suffer. Look at the world today. It all starts with we are better than you or similar. Grown ups learn from the past. Only idiots repeat it. Peace shine through our heritage and music.

  • Nice dude!

  • fair play to you, get my 1st lesson in a couple of days, can't wait. love the Uilleann Pipes

  • Wow! realmente impresionante y hermoso.

  • hey chop mcneeley cay ye be picking up an instument an play? cause i see this here chap doing so an i take me hat off to any one who tries. moi bueno amigo gracias

  • nice =)

  • Thank you! I just got my set made in NX and I live in Australia. I am going to learn this track now. Any tips in general? I get RSI under the thumb area still:/

  • beautiful!!

  • exelente cancion tocas muy bien *****

  • Great stuff

  • Nicely done my friend. I am considering purchasing a starter set of the pipes so I can learn how to play this sort of music. it's always been healing to me. I cannot wait until the day I can go to Ireland. I feel that it is my true calling. Erin Go Bragh (and yes I know braveheart is scottish, but since the uilleann pipes are the national pipes of ireland, lol) once again, nicely done!

  • Check out my piano rendition of Braveheart!

  • Wow, that's awesome :)

  • Fair duas, uno where I can get these notes?

  • very emotional!!good

  • dae it fur scotland wee laddy keep it up son

Greeting from scotland home to the bagpipes the instrument of WAR

  • goosebumps <3

  • James Horner seems to have a penchant for uilleann pipes in his scores, no? (see Titanic's Hymn to the Sea track)

  • Hablas español? wow i luv the bigpipes.. (L) really good job homie!

  • hey man i play lotta low d flute to get the sound of braveheart stuff, and this sounds awesome, mind telling me where i can find a set of pipes like that?

  • Very nice played! Is it a David Daye Practice Set?

  • ha he's terrible...listen to some davy spillane, he's a proper uilleann piper..this fellas set is completly flat too, needs ta get em tuned

  • @glenabo People like you kill Irish music. He is not terrible. He is good. He needs to keep practising. Saying he is terrible will kill off the uillean pipes.

  • maith thu, well done on the pipes!

  • good job bloke.....it sounds awesome

  • really nicely done..in fact spot on|||

  • Oh, this is beautiful.

  • I sure would like to have the sheet music from you! Any chance for that?

  • good job son coming from another piper keep it up you very nice tune

  • I thought this song was on bagpipes! are all the songs on braveheart made with uilleann pipes then? if so i might reconsider learning the pipes for learning this instrument. you did a great job by the way.

  • @georgejonez uilleann pipes and the irish tin whistle. they need to be played together and it sounds beautiful

  • no offense, but that looks like the cheap Lark In The Morning Paki set... great playing though, far better than I would expect

  • fantastic tune lad, seriously contemplating learning how to play the uilleann pipes, although it is very daunting as apparently it is one of the most difficult instruments to learn...what tips would u give sum one on starting out??

  • AWESOME

  • 15,1775 views. haha. I am probably responsible for a 1,000 of those. You should post more songs like this! I love the slower songs with the uillean pipes. They are so beautiful! You seem shy. =) haha I am too. Keep up the great work.

  • you are the most amazing person in the world!

  • Good job man!

  • This is so fucking amazing! Go celts!

  • i love youtube, when you find things like this lol. great job, im sure that has got to be one of the hardest instruments to play. Braveheart is and always will be the greatest movie ever made, at least to me

  • favorited

  • I think you are very talented. I would love to learn the uilleann pipes. Didn't care to much for the mario bros tune but enjoyed this.

  • Where did you get those uillean pipes? are those a practice set?

  • pretty sure that is a practice set - which can still be pricey ($1100)

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing

  • Awesome! How long have you been playing and who made your pipes? Thanks.

  • @scotsa23 Hahaha what a nice person you are, fuck off!!!

  • Great job... just ordered my first Uilleann practice set after playing the highland and small scottish pipe... i'm ready for some new sounds and range...

  • Good luck! :)

  • I'm on the ghbp and man that looks hard using the bellows and bag. I would loose air so many times. If this is sheet music I beg you to email it to me or let me know how you got it. I have the first line and a half down by ear but I would love to have the entire thing. Good job

  • wena wena kupamon.....

  • That's very good!

  • arrasas

  • Awesome... can you actually bend notes with this? How much range does it have?

  • yeah.. you just roll your finger off the hole or onto the hole. Just like on a open holed flute / tin whistle. see: /watch?v=sYbulPNxjpU

  • What style chanter you have? Can't really tell from the angle of the vid.

    Nice work.

  • Magnificent!

  • muy bien tocado!!!!

    me gustó el final!!!! XD

  • Very well done!

  • Brilliant work.. so few people with your talent... would love to chat with u if you have the time. if not... then just take the compliment on your skills;) Thankyou.

  • awesome......well done !!!!!

  • Did you figure that out by ear or did you use music. If you figured that out by ear good on ye and if you used music where did you find it because I am dying to learn this.

  • Very nice. Where did you get the set-up? I am looking for some online and having difficulty. All I seem to find is the half set with the drone, or the single chanter. Did you buy them individually? Or did it come as a set with the bag and bellows?

    Thanks :)

  • It looks like he is using a set by David Daye. He has a website at daye1 [dot] com

  • Well done

  • credit where its due.

    good work

  • too fast man. need more emotionality.

  • how can it be fast if he is playing along with the backround music he put?

  • very sweet!

  • nice job! its hard to tell on my screen, but your pipes look a lot less complex than many ive seen. nice little bit at the end there to! im guessing that wasnt in the movie!

  • it dontt has the drones is only the chanter, im been playing uilleann for less of 4 months.. so that drones are for more advance players, maybe in the future, thnx for the comment, and i speak spanish..

  • Actually it is ! It's the scene where enters the party when he returns to his hometown after he's grown up. It's also on the soundtrack, beginning of track nr 3.

  • u speak spanish (or is that portugues, hard 2 tell) AND english? habla espanol Y ingles?

  • nice work man, really nice 5* !!!

  • thank you :D

  • Nice work. I don't suppose you have the notation for this piece do you? Or maybe just the first sequence of notes? I have the sheet music as written for flute, but it's all in the upper octave on the uilleann pipes.

  • hi thanks! i dont have the sheet music for this.. is a very simple tune.. you can play it by ear without any problem

  • muchas gracias querida amiga!!

  • Fine Piping ! Did You make Your Backtracking also ?

    Greetings from

    Thomas

  • thanks!!! yes i did the backtracking with fruityloops

  • Nice video you sound really good ^^ I love the Uilleann pipes. They have a more mellow tone

Your trills at the beginning a bit too defined try easing into them so they're a bit smoother. And careful with the octave jump. It sounded like it threw you off a bit. Keep up the great playing ^.^

  • thank you!!

  • 5****** my Friend!!!

    Great Video!!!!

    Fantastic Piping!!!!

I love the sound of these Pipes!

    Best regards from Germany

    Andreas
