  • Gene's on FIRE!!

  • The part from 3:30 is fuckin epic !!

  • no Ace no kiss

    Ace Frehley = kiss

  • Ace the Spaceman kicks butt!!!

  • This song gives me lady wood!

  • ACE FREHLEY - ETERNO

    ACE FREHLEY - ETERNAL

  • These songs performed here are better than the Alive! versions!!! WAY BETTER!

  • I love watching early Kiss footage - when they hit that groove, they were funky as well as rockin'. Those were the days! Cheers!

  • I just wanna say, i've been a Kiss fan for about 38 years and the good guitarists and the good drummers have come and gone.. A band is not about any 1 person and that is what KISS proves. I didn't like what i heard, happened over the years but life goes on and sometimes it is better to just move on and hope that others understand the politics involved in running a multi million dollar business so, To all you haters..dont hate the player, hate the game!

  • Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley tear this song up on those Gibson's. I miss these guys!!!

    long live ACE!!!

  • KISS at their very best. When Ace left, it all went to shit.

  • @lancetop According to you. I think, among many other, that they produced some of their best songs after Ace left. Such as I love it loud, Lick it up, Heavens on fire, Forever, God gave rock n' roll to you etc. However, I do prefer Kiss in the 70th, but they still kicked ass in the 80th. Eric Carr stepped up the pace!

  • @lancetop As much as I dislike Ace, I have to agree with your comment. Mark and Bruce were definitely NOT Ace in anyway, shape, or form!

  • y'know, back in the day i thought that Gene was cool then he open'd his fucking mouth (to talk).

  • This is so good :)

    Thanks for the vid.

  • Best era of the band right here. It was a slow downhill from Destroyer to Dynasty... then a quick plummet off a cliff.

  • AWE! Shit i would have liked to see this live!! I was 6yrs at the time :)

  • Do caralho!!

  • Seems all these videos from this show kick ass~!!

  • Peter was in his best shape. He rocked!

  • ace <3 peter <3 we miss u so much

  • Look's like one dickhole gave this song the thumbs down, probably a Ke$ha fan.

  • Thanx 4 sharing this. I was 9 and was amazed and still am ! KILLA

  • I don't think they were ever bad, they started as KISS and they always and never stop being KISS.

  • @EdwardJacobDiggory17 the 4 original were the best,by far

  • @allhailrussell Well yeah of course XD But I still love em XD

  • @EdwardJacobDiggory17 well hel;l yeah

  • man ace is a bad dude

  • Shit! 2:00 to 2:10 is the best 10 seconds in KISStory! Peter was a genius with a major influence on the band and their songs.

  • is this audio recorded actually from that gig? i've heard that when Kiss Alive they when to the studio to re-record the whole concert cause ti had real bad quality.

  • @justsupersteve The audio is actually live. The shows recorded for "Alive" were not as good quality. Watch any of the shows from Cobo Hall and nothing matches up with the audio on "Alive". KISS pretty much re-recorded the entire album in the studio. They also added "enhanced crowd noise". I always loved "Alive" but learning this took the shine off it a bit. I could never figure out why they didn't just record a different show - like this one! They sound great here!

  • @TheRevengeOfMoth

that has never been a prooven thing ,,that's something the kiss haters out there made up...kiss alive was mostly recorded at cobo hall...but were from 2 other live shows..kiss just took the best of all 3 shows and combined it as one show,,,at that time remember kiss was out since 73 but not with much record sales...people wanted to see them live record sales were poor until alive,.,.they had no money or budget to re-record anything ,,as per paul and gene themselves.

  • @camarotoro It doesn't need to be "prooven" - Gene, Paul and Eddie Kramer have already gone on record to say that the album was not "touched-up" but basically re-recorded in the studio. Very few tracks from the live performances made it into the final mix. This was not "something the kiss haters made up", i's fact! So what you are saying is complete bullshit. Again, listen to the audio on the live video recordings of the Cobo Hall shows - nothing matches the "Alive" album.

  • This was back when Gene actually player his bass! Miss those days. this is a great tune, not even sure which first 3 albums this song came from.. good stuff

  • @sieveslockerroom

you are right ,,,gene simmons is a pretty good bass player,,,these old tunes have great bass lines ,,and a booming gibson bass sound...he gets no credit for his bass playing.

  • huge zep/gnr fan, and have to say that riff ace plays is KILLER!

  • @leatherebel1 no im sure they loved it! back then people never sung along or moshed or got wild at concerts, because they paid money to watch the group do their thing

  • stupid people on the croud, the arent having fuckin fun

  • !,,!

  • This is when I fell in love with Kiss...Still like em but it was nver as good after about 76

  • Gene is playing the mighty Gibson Ripper bass! Keepin the bottom solid!

  • That riff right after the chorus used to drive me crazy with the one extra eighth-note tucked in there. One of those rare and wonderful riffs that is actually easier to play when you DON"T count it :)

  • Listen to the groove they are laying down to start the 2nd verse @ 1:15 ! Gene & Peter are so immersed in the song its fantastic & the Demon is incredible here !

  • @75CHUD Fo Sure on that...the whole band just clicked back in the day. There shows got cooler to see but the music suffered

  • KISS back when they were totally raw. This is the best KISS.No theatrics no pyrotechnics just basic Rock n Roll from KISS.

  • @johnny10301968 they wanted to do theatrics and yes they did do theatrics and i like the theatrics it warms up the crowd

  • @kisshardrocker14 What I meant was this was before the theatrics the pyrotechnics it was just plain ass-kicking rock by KISS.

  • I love this old version of watching you it just shows the thing that made KISS great.

  • One of my alltime favorite kiss tracks and a gravely underrated one. Thanks.

  • Who the Hell was the one dumbass who said this sucks?!?

  • This band was on Fire!!

  • Boy, Ace here sounds like Jeff Beck, for heaven's sake.

  • a lot of people don't give KISS credit for being heavy. but, listen to this shit, detroit rock city, black diamond and many others, and KISS was heavy. KISS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn, it would have been awesome to see KISS in 75 at a concert like this. They were so badass back then. This is clearly when they were at their best.

  • Back when kiss was a band and not a brand

  • @Blackdragon52k Right on with that excellent comment, bro!

  • @Blackdragon52k dude who cares? i collect that stuff so shut up...... they still play music peter himself said that the merch doesnt matter....

  • @Blackdragon52k and no posers in the band.

  • @Blackdragon52k AMEN!

  • @Blackdragon52k Unfortunately, so true.

  • muera lady ga ga viva kiss rey, siempre fuiste tu kiss

  • Ace is ace in this video

  • @MartinPurvis never mind ace ! the whole band here just kick some serious ass wooooaaaah !

  • LOOK AT THE RAWNESS....

  • Always been a favorite song. If I was to see this band play this song today at some club I would say NOW these guys get what rocks. Catchy riffs, killer singing and they are having FUN!!!! and being badass. I've been sick of rock n roll all night for years. Must dig deep into their earlier albums to find the kick ass songs and this is one of them. Thanks for the upload of this killer Kiss song.

  • This is a Heavy riff...Peter is real tight on the drums...

  • Gene was happy when he hit that high note at 1:34. Great stuff!

  • 1:24 to 1:27 fucking hilarious

  • Comment removed

  • can't fight peter's groove..

they made heavey pentatonic riffs sound aerial thanks to each raw sound that makes the band sound incredible! 1975

  • No dislikes! Damn straight!

  • Damn, this is so pure and magic. what a hell happened?

  • 1:31 yes, just yes go Gene!

  • 1:31 sends chills down my spine

  • I like this stuff. and i have never owned a kiss record

  • @smithdsmit Start with the first Alive album(cd).

  • @ToddSweeneyOnce I agree, go right to the live ones.

  • they turned it into a job....its not about the music anymore, listen to genes voice in this hes hitting high notes n shit...they dont do much of that anymore its just "play the songs and get me off stage"

  • hungry unspoiled, raw, heavy, underground, dark, mysterious, evil lookin and sounding...

Man Kiss were so fuckin cool back in the early days(73-75)...

  • @malawri67 They damn sure were bro.

  • Ace did Nazi stuff purely as a joke for fun and sometimes took it a bit far when he went drunk. Paul thought it was funny most of the time and wasn't offended. Gene really did always treat Ace unfairly though.

  • i wasn't there in the 70's but it had to be so kick ass and KISS's best years were the early-mid 70's. I wish so much to be in the 70's...

  • In honesty, when you think of it, the original KISS lineup was a clusterfuck - there's Gene & Paul -2 Jews, Peter Criss the Italian Roman Catholic, and Ace, the Nazi fanatic - its a wonder they lasted so long

  • In honesty, when you think of it, the original KISS lineup was a clusterfuck - there's Gene & Paul -2 Jews, Peter Criss the Roman Catholic, and Ace, the Nazi fanatic - its a wonder they lasted so long

  • @evilunixuser1 was Ace really a nazi fanatic???

  • @trueRock100 Don't think so. He is half indian half dutch (or to some degree from his father's side). The average Dutch is more laid back than other europeans.

  • @trueRock100 - To be honest, I think Ace started using the wole Nazi stuff just to get back at Gene. Since Gene is Jewish (Paul as well), it's Gene who was always treating Ace like a nothing, so Ace figured the Nazi stuff was his way of getting back.

  • @trueRock100 sure he was, where do you think he got the SS for the KISS logo, right from the Waffen SS

  • @evilunixuser1 Peter is Italian I think...

  • RocknRoll!

  • deadly tune,,,,,, i love how ace just plays so rite on with seemingly no effort at all

  • KISS... One of the best bands to ever walk the EARTH...

  • Peter said this was his hardest song to play

  • i would have loved to gone to this tour, 12 n 75, this is when concerts were concerts, but i did see them n 77, this 1975 tour is part of rock n roll history dose'nt matter if u like it r not, it is what it is,how many of u know any one who was there, early 70s, best rock concert erea ever, this was a big bad ass rock n roll party,u cant do shit at concert halls now,i'll bet this concert was about 10 bucks r less,n 77 i paid 7 dollars for a sit upstaires, the real CRAP IS WHATS OUT NOW

  • My favourite KISS live performance!

  • It always cracks me up how Gene wiggles his tongue around like He's eating a big fat sloppy pussy.

  • This has nothing to do with their age.

This is the spirit of ROCK N ROLL while it was with them.It left largely after 1980.

It dont stay with bands forever.

  • Damn I love the old sound of Peter's drums. I hate the way the band sounds now.

  • This is exactly why Kiss ruled the world during the seventies.

  • 1:33 genes voice is fucking amazing

    nuff said

  • early 70's Marshall Plexi's & Kiss = HELLO! the only Kiss sound

  • Hotter Than Hell album has the best intros in rock music

  • .

Gene and Paul still have a good performance, strive hard to please the fans. But only shadows of the past.

Destroyer was his last decent album.

  • THATS FUCKING ROCK 'N ROLL THERE BOYS

  • In my opinion, Gene's "demon" character/persona is SO "heavy metal," that he can ACTUALLY fit into a BLACK METAL band!

  • Until Alive! Kiss was an excellent band, now they're just good. Their music is still good, but not as much as their first period !

  • Peter criss was top of his game...untouchable.

  • Damn Peter was good during this period. Sadly his live perfomance went wacked up closing to the 80ties.

  • holy f*ck this is the best. I see this and i feel like picking up my guitar.

  • this is a great song!Listen to the great guitar track'the lead solo Ace is the Shit!!C'mon He ranks right up there with the best!!

  • Old Kiss, live, had a sort of Zeppelin-esque sound.

  • @ThorOdinson14 it also reminds me of sabbath riffs..and solo at 4;00 onwards..amazing.

  • Listen To How Great Gene Sings This.........High Falsetto, What Happened He Stopped Singing Great And Became Too Much Of A Demon And Just Growled Every Song ..........

  • i've heard the solo before!

  • this is the best era of kiss, gene and paul can say what they want, they 4 kicked ass when they were young and raw no one can replace ace and peter. not to mention gene really was still the demon back then

  • Ace Frehley makes me belive in UFO

  • I want Gene to wachin' me!

  • There is something nice and good about Kiss...called Paul Stanley.

  • If KISS 1976-1978 were the superheroes. Then KISS 1975 were the super villians. I love the pure power and destruction of their attitude . They come off as if they'll tear the building down. Gene looks purely evil. I love this video. This shows why they were destined to become superstars [or superheroes] .

  • I LOOOVE this song, the early heavy sound of KISS

  • These guys are good. I haven't seen them since the 80's

  • I BIG FAN/// ARMY FAN 4 3O YEAR /RON/ THE OLD KISS FROM 1973 1977 IS THE BEST ? ACE IS THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER

  • the best.......awesome.......justin beiber......sawk my cawk

  • Dude, Ace was rippin' back then.

  • right on thats the good stuff

  • When I was little and first saw Gene Simmons, he scared the shit out of me. Now 35 years later as an adult, Gene Simmons still scares the shit out of me. LOVE their music though, esp in their early years.

  • It's the 1974 tour (and outfits) for the Hotter than Hell album though it inches into January 1975. KISS looking and sounding dangerous before commercial success got to them.

  • excellent arrangements, I love it, KISS rocks

  • Comment removed

  • hella raw footage...i've seen them live in oakland last year...check out the video on my profile..:)

  • Gene and Paul will die on stage

  • OMG peter criss and ace this is KISS

  • @kevindale68 somebody commmeneted on another vid that its not peter criss,,that its Anton Fig, from David Letterman... but idk for sure....

  • @Detoxx23

Anton Fig played with Ace in Frehley's Comet, not Kiss.

  • That was the days when you would buy and album and ever song on it was good. NOt like now there is 1 or 2 songs and the rest of it sucks!!!!

  • This is some great stuff! I had this on cassette. Played it till it broke :)

  • ACE !! COME BACK!!!!! THAYER SUCKS!!!

  • KISS!!!!

  • Gene was so much more energetic in these days, the whole band seems better. . .

  • greatest guitar arpeggios in any kiss song.

  • Amazing video!

  • this performance is kick ass!!im 41 and kiss was my first concert in 77,i was 9 and my dad brought me and my sister.

  • @TheSlatanic You and your sister saw Kiss when you were 9?! How lucky can you get?! Who did Kiss open for-or did someone open for them? I bet that show was LOUD!

  • This is one of my favorite perfomances of KISS mostly because it's was there earlier stuff which is what I really like because the magic it had because how this was during the time where barely anyone knew what they looked like without the makeup, it was mysterious and fun. Now I do like there newer stuff to and I don't care about what members are in the band or what. As long as there still around i'm good. I only wish though I could have been able to witness KISS during this time period.

  • I'm a big Kiss fan and love this song. This is back when they were young and hungry like someone else said and I love that.

Just like with Motley Crue, Van Halen, Rush, etc... I really dig their first albums, videos, etc... more than their later stuff.

All those bands I mentioned still rock, though. Just sayin...

  • Gene is enjoying himself here XD

  • One of my favorite KISS songs. And the BW does give them that certain raw, evil look.

  • This show alone makes Kissology Vol 1 worth it buying

  • black and white suits them fine. They look a little more like ''Knights In Satan's Service'' ; )

  • KISS when they were young and hungry were way better than when they got old and greedy.

  • Comment removed

  • @pack05intx: name me one band where this doesnt apply?

Anyway I never saw them in the 70s so I cant compare but I saw them for the first time this year and as far as Im concerned they slayed more than any other band Ive seen apart from one particular Rammstein show.

  • @pack05intx more like when gene got old and greedy

  • @pack05intx dec 72 -dec 75 they kicked aSS! after the money and fame straight down hill you are right!

  • @sjdss They sucked AFTER 1975?? Are you retarted, they put out some great songs after then too. They didnt get bad until about '82, The Creatures of the Night albulm has some great songs--I love it Loud--War Machine etc.

  • @Deaton1989 seriously i could agree some of rnr over and love gun! and ACES solo record! but to claim 1980's KISS was good! please! that crap sucked!

  • this is probably one of my top 5 KISS songs. Very underrated.

  • Eric plays this song the best on alive 3. but peter also does a good job.

  • Peter, I gotta have more cowbell!!:-)

  • some of their best riffs are only played live

    whyyyyy?

  • wow, gotta be genes best outfit to date

  • Yeah this was when KISS was actually a bit on the scary side. Now they are just clowns.

  • The main riff sounds like something Jimi Hendrix would play. COOL!

  • the good ol days! back when gene was Godzilla, instead of a sleeply lizzard, Paul was the Starchild with the voice of the gods, instead of a man in make-up singing through his dentures, and when we had Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley!!

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Paul sounds just as good if not better for his age..

  • Peter Criss is great here, he's very underestimated.

  • This is the band at the absolute height of their powers. They were hungry, raw and they kicked ass. I actually prefer the live sound of this show than the slightly more polished Alive! record.

  • This is KISS when they were totally raw just the music no theatrics no pyrotechnics just KISS b&w and raw.

  • @weaselsuit that is 45 years old they where awesome 45 years ago

  • @tamarch2010 35 years actually 45 would make it the 60's

  • @weaselsuit

Well, Alive and Alive 2 wasn't really live. Most of it were made in a studio. They were more "live feeling" albums. But this clip proves that they were able to play awesome live.

  • Wish they would release this as a live album also the roosevelt stadium show.

  • I never got the feeling that Gene and Paul had crappy attitudes till 1978. They were happy with this line-up till Peter asked for more songs on an album. They have not created the 70's since.

  • they're young in this video.. 1975

  • Incredible how underrated this song is — one of their best. Awesome opening riff.

  • my new and improved KISS channel

    from,

    Tony Aznar

  • This is 74, not 75.

  • Nice vocals for gene
