i don't know.. i also play bass.. but where is the soul in big ass techniques? i like victor wooten and stuff, but he ain't claypool, and claypool ain't flea, and flea ain't sid vicious.. i used to want to do this stuff, but playing is just playing.. being secure is showing off to me.. at least, now it is.. what's more to this than knowing that it's just done 'the right way'? nina simone did better.. and she didn't even play bass.. nah, i'll take another drink.. cheers to all..

Awesome playing, I wish I could tap/slap like that. BUT, I wish more people would consider different avenues with bass soloing - most everyone I see on YT bass solos like this. It gets kinda boring for me to watch up-beat slap/tap soloing all the time. No offense thou - you're awesome!

What do you even mean poor scale reading, noelette03? This guy is amazing. I would know...I take lessons from him. However, this is by far not his best work. Some of the coolest stuff I've heard him play uses a loop pedal. Also, if you've ever heard him solo over any charlie parker tunes...it's cool stuff.
