  • Her jumps are FIERCE.

  • Great skating - HATE The music!!

  • The music is awful but her talent and fierce determination are obvious.

  • Outstanding skating. She had more spunk and variety in her skating (e.g. the positions in her spins) than she had later in her career, when she became much more conservative in her approach. She seems fearless here, in marked contrast to the last few years of her amateur career (92-94).

  • Shame she stopped doing that type of combination in the early 90's.

  • She's also a great spinner. Tonya would still do well today.

  • Katarina witt could never come close to doing a triple lutz. Tonya should have won the 1988 olympics. They allways screwed her over.

  • @TripleAxel1991 keep in mind that tonya harding, kristi yamaguchi, and nancy kerrigan always struggled with compulsory figures. That's what made the difference.

  • @barkingtree88 Actually, Tonya's figures were the strongest of the three.

  • @kwadruple but still not good enough to compete against Trenary, Witt, or Ivanova.

  • @barkingtree88 Wrong, she was close enough to them that she could beat them in free skating portions and move ahead, as she did with Trenary at Skate America in 89, the same season where Trenary became World Champion.

  • @metsdudenj Tonya could kick your ass in a heartbeat wearing pink or any color of your choice.

  • @kwadruple She'd still be trash.

  • @kwadruple How would that make her not trash?

  • Good spins too

  • 5.4 for technical merit? that was an amazing triple lutz/double loop!
