The Real Greater Somalia wasnt One Ethnicity. There was ethinc Native Oromos, Afars and North Kenyan Bantus, other Tunni Bavara etc. people. But during 1900's alot of Oromos where taken Out of Somalia in to Oromia. There are Oromo people which their native land today is in Somalia or Ogaden region. As well as other Swahili Bantus in North East Kenyan Province.

Wallal you seem to be confusing us with the isaaqs of Somaliland. Ogaden is an internationally renown name not like the name of Somaliland land which was invented in 1990,and this notion that the Ogadeni clan is a minority in the region is misleading and false.

Ogaden make up almost 85% of the population in the region and make up 100% of the fighting force in the region. 6 out of the 9 regions are mostly from the Ogadeni clan. Others include, dir, other absames, isaaq up north of Dagexbuur, and some hawadlehs from the south of Khalafoo.. If Ogaden does become independent it is up to the people to decided whether we will join Somalia or not, and it is up to the people to decided what we are going to call the region.
The other thing is, if we even decide we will join Somalia, what is their to join exactly, Somalia is a failed state with no functioning government. Leaders of the WSLF who was mainly Ogaden, did not want the Somali government to intervene directly, because they knew if the republic of Somalia attacked Ethiopia, this would be known as a border conflict, but not as a liberation. In any case, Somalia arrogantly attacked Ethiopia and was defeated with the help of the international community, what did siad bare do?
He signed a peace treaty with Ethiopia, and this was the ultimate slap on the face for so many people in the Ogaden region, especially the Ogaden clan.
In 1984 the ONLF was established, its main objective was to liberate the land known as Ogaden with out any external affairs. And this name called Somali galbeed/western Somalia, as you said it, makes this territory a border conflict not a liberation, and thats mainly why we call it the Ogaden region.
ONLFs goals and its objectives have not changed ever since, the animosity the Ogadens have against other Somalis are still alive and getting stronger with Somaliland and punt land arresting innocent people. So dont blaim ONLF, blame the fact that Somalis are disunited and are full of hate.
