are these year of mustangs decent? i have a 96 eagle talon tsi awd im thinking about trading someone for a 87 mustang gt that has mild cams bigger injectors stage 2 clutch and all that good stuff but i wanted to make sure its not going to brake down all the time and that im not going to be throwing thousands into parts
I might be getting one of these soon, it's a 91 5.0 with a e303 cam, rebuilt engine and exhaust, i was wondering have you had any major problems with the car and would you say it's reliable, thanks.
they make a hell of a difference. just dont ever drive on them in the rain. ive put my stang in the median twice just driving in a straight line holding it at 55 mph
I got 89 couple with e303 cam with long tubes, 2 chamber flows, underdrive pullies, with 65mm t body, and 24 pound inject, cold air kit and 373 gear, great sounding car.
this is a nice mustang. i like it very much; however, I don't understand why you would modify the heads and intake without modifying the the air intake tube. shouldnt you be trying to suck as much cold air in as possible?
too much lol. but ive never seen it done before, so ill probably going to be hanging on to them for a while. as for the center caps..... for some reason they didnt polish very nice, so i didnt use them.
is the e303 cam a good street/strip cam? I've seen people use it but no vids and no one ever seems to have feedback about it. I hope to purchase an 87 GT 5.0 5 speed and I wanted to know if this cam is worth getting
it sounds pretty good, but i have to admit it is a bit lacking when it comes to performance. you have to remember that this cam was designed decades ago. it USED to be a very good cam, but technology has gotten alot better and alot more research has been done on cams for the 302. do your self a favor and give compcams a call. let them know what you already have, what youre planning on getting, and how you plan on driving most(street or strip). theyll be able to suggest the perfect for your needs
thats actually a moroso cold air setup. at the time all i had on was the elbow and filter, but a few weeks later i put it through the fender. it wasnt that difficult. you dont have to remove the entire fender, just the tire and then inner finder liner. it took me about 5 mins to do everything
@fateisajester wasnt the cobra intake manifold pretty much a trick flow intake with a diffrent cover. A friend of mine had an trick flow intake on his 93 and then took it off and added the cobra intake and he didnt lose anything.
so what are you running? i saw an msd dizzy, and im guessing cobra intake? cuz i have a 5.0 lincoln mark vii, id like to get a cam, but right now have stock upper/lower intake, but have a bbk cai on it, bbk shorty headers, into bbk x pipe and flowmaster 40's. my car has 130k miles too, but i want it to sound like yours, cuz yours sounds effin awsome.
when that vid was taken, yes, i had the cobra upper and lower among other things. i have completely changed my setup(went carb) and still have the same sound. what makes the sound is the exhaust system i have. Im running bbk equal length shorties, cat delete, custom h-pipe, and magnaflow muffs
sweet, i want to cam my lincoln but idk if i can with an automatic tranny, id like the b303 but right now cant afford a 5spd swap, its my daily driver and im paying for college so i dont have a ton of money to spare and i have 130k miles, but id like a cobra intake with this cam, new lifters, and a timing chain.
i never claimed to have a cobra. I use a cobra intake for the performance. I dont understand your comment. EVERYONE knows that intake came on 93's... If I were you and was trying to sound smart, I would have commented on the break booster. If you can tell me why, then ill be impressed. Until then, you just sound like a douch bag to me
nice! i got a 89 gt as well i bought it Thanksgiving and havent been able to drive it yet but i work on it almost every day, i'll have it on the road by next week its the best thing i ever owned i will never get rid of it!
what do you redline with your ecam? or better yet what do you shift at? and what gear in the rear end? this info would be greatly appreciated thanks..
WHAT A FUCKING BEAST! I love how it looks stock too, very nice car. I keep telling people Magnaflow's are awesome exhaust if you have a cammed engine, because w/o the cam they tend to be too quiet. You just proved my point.
Clean car.....you need to restab that distributor though...its off a tooth...next upgrade...get some headers! lol

How much $ did cost to get those 10 holes polished? They look way better that way you just need to get the centers chromed.

yeah, I was thinking of giving them a call anyway, but the e303 cam is still mass produced so I figured it had to be something special

Did you use the stock manifold with an aftermarket filter? i want to do that with mine only because taking off the finder is a bitch

Just remove the silencer and put in a K&N air filter, those cold air set ups are not worth it.
