@th3airsofttitan depends on your scope and what your firing at, pistols always go 9mm or .45. revolvers always .44 magnum, machine guns should be standard .552 nato or what ever it is, and shotguns 12 gauge, snipers on the other hand are very debatable, 308 if you want quick kill, light weight, low recoil and sway, high accuracy at, and medium stopping power, 50bmg if you want you want power, multiple target applications, and high accuracy

@ObservedFIREFLY There are lots of type's of .50cal rounds to chose from and the Barrett .50cals are designed for long range shooting and anti-material (not anti-tank) it is useless compared to modern vehicle armor.

@ObservedFIREFLY most assault rifles and light machine guns are 5.56 (.223) very light in my opinion but my opinion wont change it. some light machine guns are chambered in .308 (7.62) along with battle rifles. for sniper rifles i would PREFER the 7mm rem mag out to 1000 yards or so. past that I want some big bore rifle. always go with the .45 for handguns. 9mm doesn't deliver. in terms of shotguns 12 gauge is perfect. 10 has way to much kick.  in my opinion
