Alphonso Johnson is the baddest motherfucker to ever pick up a bass. They can talk about Stanley and Jacko and they are phoenomenal of course but none of them have the groove and feel of Alphonso. He is the unsong hero of all the progressive bassist.

This is a great video of a very fine rearrangement of an old tune (check some of the other videos on this site). High Life is an underrated cd, maybe it was too complex, I know I received it well when it was released.-Check it out!
