deionized water, latex gloves, saftey googles and clothing that you dont mind getting holes in from the acid. ps a syringe makes it less messy.

1) wear gloves when are doing this

2) use a funnel to make sure only the distilled water goes in, instead of all the splashed water you see around the battery in this vid

the best thing to put in the battery is lighter fluid. it will recharge a dead battery

U can use both; ironised or distilled
