Santa has nothing to do with 'christs grace'. Santa myth has its origins in a Pagan god called Odin. Odin would fly a hunting pack across the sky during winter solstice. Children would leave out their cloggs full of food for Odins flying beasts. In return, Odin would leave them candy etc. This tradition (and winter solstice) was later adopted by the Christian authorities mainly for convenience. Thus we now have Santa and Christmas. Easter and Halloween was also plagerised.
