Alright guys, I'm having another problem. I recently won my first World Series with this game against the Yankees (playing as the Braves). I started a new season and got my lineup looking good, and now every time I finish a game, at the point where the "saving season progress" screen usually comes up, the system crashes. This is now the third complete game I've finished, only to lose all the progress I just made. Any ideas why this might be happening?
I always go for Arod @ SS, any random 2B, Piazza or Hundley @ Catcher, Thomas @ 1B, Vinny CAstilla @ 3B, A.Belle @ LF, J.Edmonds or Bernie WIlliams @ Center, Juan Gonzales or P Oneil @ right. Pitchers Maddux, Mussina,and Smolts always then any random 2 like Nomo and I. Valdez!
This is the BEST baseball game ever made! Still play this game to this day! Believe it or not im on my 24th Full Season playthrough (162 game season w/ playoffs) Love it! HAve won titles with The Whitesox my favorite team (10 times) the Yankees (4 times) the redsox (2 times) the dodgers (6 times) and the cubs 2 times. Its a great game that gets harder and harder as you go thru the season!
I'm having issues with the game actually loading my revised all-star roster. I'll change the lineup and swap players in from the bench, but when I start the game, it just goes back to the computer's default lineup. Can anyone help me with this? It's really frustrating...
@metalguitar311 That usually happens on exhibition mode. You should try the Season mode or world Series. Also it might be a glitch. My copy has a glitch where I cant select the difficulty of the game, its not even present . Its stuck on normal all the time!
I am in season mode. That's why it's frustrating. A lot of my team members made it to the all star game, and I couldn't use them because it wouldn't put them in the main lineup. I had to sub them in as pinch hitters which left me vulnerable if one of them had problems. It's all good though I ended up going ahead anyway and winning. One more question: does it let you take your team all the way through the playoffs and the World Series? It doesn't show up on the schedule...
@metalguitar311 Yes it does. After the 161st game (if you keep records of alll your stats like me lol) write down all your teams stats cus after the 162nd game ur unable to view the league leaders. But they do show you the best players stat wise of each league. SO after the final game it takes you straight to the division series and its ready to go. Just make sure to set up your lineup and rotation before you playball

He had more ideas but time was a problem ... It's cool to see so many people love the game... He made it ridiculously hard as you go through the season ... He wanted winning the title to be extremely difficult... As you go through a season it get's harder BIG time..... especially the play-offs..
Also a little hint: when Griffey is at-bat, before the pitcher winds up, tap Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Left and Griffey will point his bat to the left-centerfield bleachers. If you connect with the next pitch, automatic home run. :] Im gonna feel stupid, but i always thought this was just a one player game. LOL
Dude I LOVED this game!!!!! Little tips for you... when ur on defense, i was gonna correct you about the diving and jumping with A and B until you said it. Also when your on defense, R switches the icon for defensive players. Ive thrown 4 perfect games on that game (1 with Randy Johnson, 1 with Tom Glavine, 2 with Tim Wakefield). It's my favorite too!!!!!
I had all the Ken Griffer Jr. gaqmes, this and the first one are my favorites. I love the dynamics of the first one (SNES), the second, didn't like it too much then came this and I loved it.
I liked this game, but ASB was definitely better. That and Wayne Gretzky 3D hockey were my favorite sports games for the N64. NFL 2K for the Dreamcast was great back then, too. As much as I loved my Playstation, Saturn and even my Jaguar (the 2 games I had for it...), my N64 got a ton of playing time despite having one of the worst controllers ever because of the sports and racing games.

Had anyone else noticed this game's difficulty increased exponentially once you entered the playoffs? It took me six seasons to actually win the World Series (only 27 game seasons).
I got beaten with the Blue Jays, the Expos, the Cardinals, and finally the Athletics. Unbelievable. It took me three years (and plenty of F-bombs) to finally come out the victor.
this game was awesome. Does anyone agree with me when i say this game had a mind of its own? I mean this game at times will let you get a few good hits and then you just slaughtered. your outfielders wont catch shit and your batters wont hit. other than that this game rocked!

your catcher that you picked up is jose valentins brother javier valentin he played pretty much for the reds and you should trade derek jeter and javy to the a's for MARK MCGWIRE ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS EVER EVEN WITHOUT STEROIDS HE IS STILL FREAKIN GOOD SO EVERYBODY SHUT THE FUCK UP NOW
i like this retro series, you should do a review of streets of rage 1-3 for the genesis if you have them, or a review for goldeneye or super mario 64 :-)
