the fact that back when i lived in florida, i had a lake behind my house containing gators....at the begining its intimidating, but get to know your neighbors' habits, its all good. i use to feed them raw chicken since they were used to me being nearby but not face to face close. good times.

I think, people's problem here is not that living animals had been thrown into the crocidile-pit to eat them alive, because it is really natural. The problem, or more like the weird thing is here that there are many people who wants to watch this, and not because he/she is interested in the animals natural habits, but like to see some "action", you know- some violence.
