I was never able to record those due to it taking me too long to do so. I was able to do it be random luck. You can find videos of it on metroid2002 though.

its weird how without the varia suit you dont take environmental damage from extreme cold like in Phendrana Drifts but you do take damage from extreme heat in Magmoor Caverns? Doesnt the Varia Suit protect you from both? Or am I getting myself confused...

No, the Varia Suit doesn't protect you from both, but that's because it was never intended for you to get to Phendrana without the Varia Suit anyway. In Other M, she gets the Varia Suit before Sector 2, but IIRC,you could enter Sector 2 before 3 and not get hurt by the cold. In Fusion, Samus was weak to the cold due to her having the Metroid DNA within her, and she truly needed the Varia Suit to protect her there.

you shouldn't have the ice beam because you need the spider ball and the boost ball to even get it you used cheats didn't you?

It's called sequence breaking. But for the Ice Beam without Wave Beam, I had to wallcrawl through a Secret World. Look it up.

How? The Varia Suit is supposed to protect Samus from extreme temperatures, which can be either hot or cold. How did you not get hurt?

The game thinks your already have the Varia Suit since you got the Gravity Suit. If you're talking about the run from the Chozo Ruins to Phendrana Drifts, you need three or four Energy Tanks to survive.

That was never programmed into the game, since you're supposed to have the Varia Suit by the time you enter Phendrana.

Probably not. The only other game that has a cold environment was Fusion, and he being hurt there was because of the Metroid DNA within her making her weak to the cold.

@snakeis666 Yes I believe that this is theoretically possible on the Wii, just a whole lot harder because 1.You either need to preform the outragously hard SJF sequence break or the slightly easier (yet still somewhat hard) ESJ break and 2. You need to also go really fast and I'm sure that getting the IBBF Energy tank would be very helpful.

Only with the Power Beam.

They are the only 2 beams that are rapid.

Man this is such a great game, the only thing the TRilogy version was missing is those little effets they add to the beams when you charge them.

Can you please show us how to get the Gravity Suit early without skipping the Varia Suit? And what about getting the Power Bombs and X-Ray Visor early?

I suggest taking a look at Mrperson0's Metroid Prime Speed Run. IIRC, he gets those items early.

When you're on the Power Beam and fire a Missile, you can quickly close the hatch and fire another one. So just keep on pressing Y, A, Y, A, Y, A,, and that's how you can use rapid fire missiles. You can do that only in Prime 1 though.

you should try to get plasma before gravity or varia.

well ur gonna need ALOT of enrgy tanks to do that cuz ur losing health while ur sometimes faslling in the lave which does alot of damge and it take about4 minutes to do that so...not possible really especially on hard

It is, and it took me quite a while to do it, and didn't feel like wasting DVD space. And there's a few vids of it on Youtube, just search "Varialess Magmoor Run", and you should three different vids of it.

He didn't defeat it, he just skipped it by taking the skill route and going through the heated rooms really fast. Very hard to do.
