Hey, I've been thinking about going natural and styling my hair in twists myself but my hair is trained to be pressed. I was wondering if converting the hair to twist would still work out or would I have to chop off all of my hair? And also I wanted to know how long do your twist last?
anyone can do twists, but from personal experience i can say that when you untwist them, the two textures won't look all that great because the relaxed hair will look "stringy." i suggest wearing a head band or scarf to cover a good portion of the natural part so it won't look as conflicting. you can minimize the difference by doing dry twists - blow drying your hair first.
I love your hair..I dont know if this question has been asked or not...Can I twist my hair and have the out come look like yours even if i use relaxers???It may be crazy question but i never tried and just curious.
How did you get yor twists to look like that at the beginning of the video around 48 sec? I just went natural and my hair is not very long but I want to twist into something nice like yours. Thanks
If your hair is curly then it would have a little spring to it, but if it's straight then it would just look like 2 strand braids (instead of the normal 3 strand braid). Either way, you'd need a rubber band at the ends of each hair twist to keep it from unravelling.
if your natural and you want your to wear your hair curly dont you put gel in it to make it curl up or is it more to that? im just starting my naturalness and my fro is small but its not tiny. i just want to make it curl what do i do?
Yea, I always do a twist out (separate the twists). But usuall after I've had my twists in for a couple of days because twist outs don't stay in as long.
I must say that I love your hair. I am also natural, and have been for almost 4 years. I love seeing other beautiful women stepping out on faith and going natural. I don't know about some, but for me, having natural hair is SO MUCH EASIER than having a relaxer! keep that beautiful hair girl!
Do you have any tips that might help us keep her hair healthy and beautiful, without resorting to the use of harsh chemicals? I know that in one of your vids you mentioned the baking soda/distilled water washing solution as well as the cider vingegar/honey rinse. Is there anything else that you could recommend?
I know you weren't directing your question to me, but you could also use cone-free conditioners such as suave and V05 to wash your daughters hair. It's called a co-wash. You could also use them and mix them with extra virgin olive oil (yep, from the grocery store) for a regular conditioner. :)
Ms. brice, your hair is gorgeous. My daughter has thicker texture hair. My husband and I don't want to put any chemicals in her hair. It can at times be difficult to manage but seeing your hair is reinforcement that natural is best!
I just wear a scarf at night or a night cap and in the morning i fluff it out with my hands. Sometimes I use a glycerine/water spray when the twists are a little drys and several days old
Wow u really know how to twist!every hair style fits your face and beautiful smile. Nice Job. Also what products do you use on your hair? and is your hair really thick?

-I was in a band with Keith Sweat....
I would get 'twisted' before rehearsals ;-)!
...but enuf about me-
...my twists have since turned to dreads, but
I watched the video anywayz to hear that cute little inflection you have in your voice-lol-
...so I was hoping you had such an informative video on dreads, maybe???
good work!

Hi MsBrice,
Your hair is so gorgeous and so encouraging! I am transitioning and not quite ready to rock the TWA but I know I have ot get over it.
What did you use to bring out your natural curls? What do you suggest to use to grow hair quickly and what did you do to keep your cute styles up?
Sorry about all the questions but it seems as if you know what to do from the looks of your hair. :-)
Thnaks a lot!
