PS: Yes, instrumental hip-hop is amazing, Nujabes and RJD2 are pretty good examples of that. Yes, this song has a nice instrumental. But it's not meant to purely be an instrumental.

It's not like RJD2 or Nujabes's instrumentals, it's not very good by itself. It takes a rapper like Nas and a voice like Keri Hilson to make this song suitable for more than just being the background to an AMV. They make it a whole song, and I honestly fail to see how anyone could fail to appreciate that.
