@bigc5544 hiro mashima, the writer of fairy tail, is also the writer for the series called ravemaster. it started in 1999 and got a anime adaptation in 2001. the show got cancelled after 51 eps due to low rankings. it was a pretty kickass show tbh.

I still cant believe how people compare this to once piece xD. Actually i believe dhu creator of fairy tail was taught by the creator of one piece. But honestly i prefer this WAY much. I got bred of one piece at like episode 10. This show though, I look forward to Saturdays to watch a new episode. For you new watchers the more into the show u go the AWSUMER it is. The 7-kin of Purgatory/Tenrou Island S-rank thingy arc is honestly the BEST. I think its the best arc so far. Its soooo epic!

@radude11 People prefer One Piece over Fairy Tail because One Piece is better thats why the compare but i agree One Piece and Fairy Tail shouldn't be compared to each other because their greatness is too vast. But i still love Fairy Tail! You should have given One Piece more of a chance because it gets better with each episode and chapter, and no Eiichiro Oda and Hiro Mashima were both taught by the same teacher they were students together.

@disbammaagain Its not a spin off but its from the same creators of Ravemaster.Plue was added as a kind of mascot character as a shout out to Ravemaster.In Fairy Tail he is a minor Celestial Spirit in service(like a Pokemon)to the young Celestial Wizard Lucy(the hot blonde girl)the central audience outlook character in the series.There are lot of visual references to Ravemaster and other anime(like Elfman, a parody of a Super Saiyan with a Beastman transformation power).Its a great series!

@disbammaagain I have seen U.S ads for the blu-ray/dvd combo sets and the dvd sets. the blu-rays are all dubbed(with optional langauges and subtitles)but I think the older dvds are only english subbed.Barnes&Nobles are offering them for order.If you have Comcast you can find dubbed episodes in the Funamation Prime(pay-per-view)section.The­y are a dollar each.
