  • summer 1982....we just gon play...and play...until it goes away.

  • He is surely One of the greatest artists ever!!!!

  • It's nowhere near the longest track ever; hundreds of disco LPs in the late 1970s had one track, or a medley of tracks, on one or both sides of the disc.

The longest single track in my collection is "Judas Iscariot" by Sphinx, at over 19 minutes.

But let that not detract from the brilliance of "Do I do", my favourite Stevie track!

  • Absolutely FABULOUS!!! If this song doesn't get you movin', you must be dead!

  • Longest song ever!!! Lol.. Also one of the greatest songs ever!!!

  • @cookiedeeh - Really? Is it longer than that Marvin Gaye song from the early 80s? I'll have to probe the attic of my musical memories for the name. But it was THE longest dance song I tried to dance to! :-)

  • @citygal226 Ha ha ha... Weeeeellll the Marvin song may be longer.. Let me know when you think of the name and we'll see which is longer :) When I first heard this song I couldnt believe it was over 10 minutes! But I say if the song is great make it as long as ya want! :) Looooove my Stevie!

  • @cookiedeeh - Found that Marvin Gaye "long song" - Gotta Give It Up. Is this song long than that one?

  • @citygal226 I think they might be neck and neck! Minute for minute :) I think they're about the same lengh actually...

  • ....d[-_^]b....

  • At a tribute to Christopher Reeve once, Stevie appeared. He said something I will never forget. He said, "Just because one cannot see, does not mean one cannot have a vision. Just because one cannot walk, does not mean one cannot go the distance."

  • "Earl's playin' by himself, man!"

  • just the best bass work ever! I loved this!

  • This song gives itchy feet !!! ooh i love it

  • hmmm Dizzy's solo was kind of weak I felt I wonder why he didn't go off...

  • My favoutite Stevie Wonder song, reminds me of my trip to NYC, summer of '99 walking down Broadway blasting this on my portable CD player loving being in The Big Apple...

  • My butt cheeks R dancin 2 this classic jam!

  • MUSICAL GREATNESS IN IT's FINEST FORM.

    2 LEGENDS....STEVIE & DIZZY

THANKS to RockAndFunk for this long version.

I wanna jump in a car and take a roadtrip and just keep hitting REPLAY.

    100% "feel good" mega jam.

  • I personally don't like rollercoasters, but this jam is one of my favorite rides! For me it's kind of funny 'cause it's such a long groove. Evertime I listen to it I'm thinking dang this jam is still going, yet at the same time I don't want it to end! Peeese!!!

  • One of my all time favorite songs by stevie wonder very talented. Love to groove off this song.

  • Lovin it. Lovin it. Lovin it!!! BAD TUNE Blesserz..

  • Why can't it be twenty minutes long?

  • This is one of my fav Stevie songs of all time!!!

  • Can i swear ???? Just in case i cant..... This is F-in great!!

  • "Sir Duke" "I Wish " and "Livin for the city" r 3 more of stevies great songz :D

  • Dis is 1 of the must kno songz by Stevie Wonder. The Top 5 u MUST kno are "Do i do" , "My Cheri Amour" , "Superstition" , " For Once In My Life" and "I Just Called To Say I Love U" . To me these are his best. there are more of course but these are the must kno.

  • One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE songs. I wish this version was more readily available. There are not many songs that can keep me entertained for 11 minutes and NEVER get old. Love it.

  • Oh my god, I was reading about this song in the current Bass Player mag (06/2010). I love Mr. Watts, he's SO talented! My current fav of his is his work on the Stevie Wonder song, I Wish, man this is hellacious! This is serious bass work. You are nothing *NOTHING* less than amazing Mr. Watts! I love this!

  • @Montara92 Nathan Watts is indeed awesome. It's a brilliant uplifting tune.

  • @Montara92

The bass on this song IS awesome :)

  • stevie is stevie, no ones like him!!

  • Nathan Watts is the man

  • HIt #2 soul, #13 pop, #25 AC in Billboard. God bless! RIP, Dizzy.

  • NOT Nathan East -- it is Nate Watts on bass on this track! Nate Watts contributed mightily to many of Stevie's hits from 1974 through the 80s.

  • great song

  • There's no one on earth like Stevie Wonder, a true musical genius!

  • Ladies & gentlemen, Mr. Dizzy Gillespie, BLOW!!

  • GO NATHAN EAST ON THE BASS!!

  • this does it for me at Ballys on the elliptical for at least 40 hard minutes..lol

  • "So if you don't like the groove you can turn your record off, it won't cost you nothin' but a penny, and you'll have a cough".

WOW Stevie discovers rap! I guess we can be thankful he didn't go further down that road :)

Srsly though, an amazing song which should only be played in its entirety! Down with radio edits!

  • Earl playing by himself, man!

  • Stevie Wonder and Dizzy Gillespie has to be a treat for anyone who enjoys great music. "Do I Do" is my favorite R&B song of the 1980s.

  • Favorite version of this song.........BOTH GREAT MUSICIANS WHO WERE SENT TO US BY GOD HIMSELF.
