Almost every emulator has a cheat function, just because you use one doesn't mean he does.

Hey, Chillo, I've got two questions about this.
1) How do you get Mario to act on his own like this(sorry if it was answered in a previous video), and does he get any extra attack power?
2) Do you still get to do defensive commands when he's like this(such as reducing damage when hit)?

1. It was a badge in the japanese game only.
Taken out for PAL and North America, since you couldn't hit ceiling enemy's.
He probobly hacked it with an emulator to get the badge.
2. Yes.
