I havn't head this record in over 25 years.... They used to have this guy with them , on stage , called 'Dave the wizzard' , and he did firebreathing/work/stuff on stage .... One night at wigan TRUCKS , was one of the best gigs I have ever been lucky enough to get see... Killing joke at thier Dirtiest/BEST , an ALL the old numbers ... A VERY BRUTAL /Visceral / Monumental event ... happpy daze ... now wheres me tv times .... and me teef , AND me glasses ...ZZZZzzzz
Punk rock new wave music produced some excellent records and this was one of them. I love the way it is so uncompromising. Even the art work on the single cover was uncompromising.
Ahhhhh, Killing Joke. Saw them twice in Edinburgh, once in 83, then again in 84 :) gods. Now go check out "the damage manual" :) Trust me, I'm old lol
@acdcislegand Our generation dosen't have any taste, but there are still a few of us. It's cool that you're 11 and in to this, though, I'm 13 and i haven't been into the punk thing like this and the clash etc for long. So keep listening to the good stuff!
@nemesisexit What are you on about - I saw them loads of time in the early eighties and they were brilliant every time! Thank God they came along with this and Requiem when they did - once the Pistols etc had gone they kick-started the whole music scene...

I've heard some of Killing Jokes' other tunes and dig most of it, including this song. Sounds like a pissed-off Devo.

My 7" single (with Astaire sleeve as depicted) is rotting in a Doncaster cellar while I rot in the Western Isles. Bah. To say the fucking least.
