    But this is punky

  • Do a wardance!!!!

  • Punk rock new wave music produced some excellent records and this was one of them. I love the way it is so uncompromising. Even the art work on the single cover was uncompromising.

  • This still f--ing rules.

  • sounds like no remorse riff D:

  • My God! Hearing this song again, I can almost smell the 80s.

  • Ahhhhh, Killing Joke. Saw them twice in Edinburgh, once in 83, then again in 84 :) gods. Now go check out "the damage manual" :) Trust me, I'm old lol

  • KILLING JOKE era una banda muy enérgica.

    Kate Bush,1985

  • @acdcislegand I'm 94 years old and what is this glowing screen in front of me? Why are my pants on backwards? Zzzzzzzz.

  • @acdcislegand Our generation dosen't have any taste, but there are still a few of us. It's cool that you're 11 and in to this, though, I'm 13 and i haven't been into the punk thing like this and the clash etc for long. So keep listening to the good stuff!

  • I remember KJ doing a CND rally and the music echoing round Trafalgar Square sending shivers down my back!

  • Man, this is great. This version is just so much more urgent.

  • I've heard some of Killing Jokes' other tunes and dig most of it, including this song. Sounds like a pissed-off Devo.

  • saw a great live theatre gig that Youth did with the playwright jonathan moore which had the same brilliant energy. great stuff

  • Oh the memories of the 80's, all the nights I danced to this song. I miss those day soooo much!!

  • Youth's bass playing is brilliant in this

  • Cheers for posting!! Absolute killer track!! The memories!!!

  • My 7" single (with Astaire sleeve as depicted) is rotting in a Doncaster cellar while I rot in the Western Isles. Bah. To say the fucking least.

  • i like the Peel version better. It captures the way they were live...and they were amazing!

  • @yvettefoto

Your joking, they were crap live

  • @nemesisexit What are you on about - I saw them loads of time in the early eighties and they were brilliant every time! Thank God they came along with this and Requiem when they did - once the Pistols etc had gone they kick-started the whole music scene...

  • Wow. That's even better than the Ha! version, which is even better than the album version.

  • The best fucking song. Love this original version. Had the 7" with the Killing Joke Army conscription form :P

  • @Problembeing

still got my army call up papers from the original single

  • @keeef67 I'm sure I got the damn thing somewhere. I've moved so many times over the years..

  • @keeef67 yeah that was a good piece of cynical marketing.
